Super friendly and always available host — early check-in was possible, which was great! The apartment has an excellent location — You need 25 Min to the centre by walk or 5 min with a super cheap tuk tuk. The place was well equipped, and nothing was missing.

Our stay in San Mateo Río Hondo was magical from start to finish. The energy of the place was peaceful and uplifting, and our hosts, Marian, Ale, and Opy, made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. Their warmth and passion can be seen into every detail, creating an unforgettable experience. The food was a highlight, with everything harvested from their garden—a true luxury. Marian’s homemade pasta was outstanding (and as an Italian, I have high pasta standards). Ale’s shakshuka was the best I’ve ever had, and Opy’s tea with honey was simply divine. Every meal was a masterpiece, prepared with love and care. The property itself was equally incredible, with breathtaking views and a beautifully decorated room complete with a cozy fireplace—perfect for cool evenings. The natural beauty and thoughtful details made every moment feel special. What truly sets this place apart is the hospitality. Marian, Ale, and Opy’s passion for their home shines through, turning our stay into a dream. This is more than just a place to stay—it’s an experience filled with warmth, beauty, and love.
