The location was great, a few minutes from the Centro Historic. The hotel itself had a lovely shady, breezy courtyard garden. A wonderful refuge in the heat of the afternoon, where you could sit, use the laptop, etc. Wifi was good. The hotel is a quiet, pleasant, clean place to stay.

Modern and comfortable room. Room cleaning and two bottles of water provided daily. Reception helped with airport taxi. The street felt safe and is a few blocks away from main walking street. No problem walking after dark. Sauna and jacuzzi included for 45 minutes were relaxing and spotless. Pleasant surprise was that our room was ready when we arrived before 10 am.

The town is charming, the restaurants serving local cuisine are delightful and the summer climate is amazing. 15 degrees at night and 22 or so during the day with no humidity. There are many activities in or near San Cristobal and we enjoyed the local parks at Arcotete and Grutas del Mamut. Our dogs were able to run off-leash and explore the forest. We spent a month at a Spanish language school (San Cris) which was a wonderful place to improve our language skills.

This city is beautiful and great for walking.

This city is beautiful and great for walking. The sidewalks are not as difficult to navigate as in some other cities, but you still need to be careful and have grippy shoes for when it rains. The weather was lovely and cool; a nice break for us Texans in the month of June. We didn’t have nearly enough time here and we hope to return and explore more!

Gorgeous city. Felt very local as well as having touristy ammenities. Unfortunately the trip to the Chiflon falls also includes a detour to lakes. The first is great, the second, not worth the time and effort. If you're adventuresom, go to the falls with collectivos instead. Chamula is really special. I went to market day at 8 in the morning and was the only foreigner. Like time travelling! The leftist cinema in town was really unique! The Na Bolom cultural museum was fascinating. I also had a terrific inexpensive meal there.

Definitely worth visiting and spending a few days. Lots of really nice local eateries and the Mayan Textile Museum is worth visiting. Just wandering through the town is interesting. MUY Gallery also good. If you are thinking of doing a bus tour to Zona Arqueologica Palenque (via Cascadas de Agua Azul and Cascada Misol Ha) and you suffer from motion sickness think carefully. It is an 18+ hour day (4am ~ 10:30pm) with most of that in the bus on winding mountain roads and many speed bumps (a device used in Mexico to slow traffic down in towns). I learned the hard way.

A beautiful local town full of the vibes and energy that the mix of local peoples and outsiders brings. We found some online reviews mystifying with their huge exuberance about quite ordinary offerings but overall felt that the standard of both food and drink high. For money the Santander off Zocalo had a fee of M$34 which is acceptable but you need to read Spanish…it’s pretty obvious.

People were friendly and helpful; however, I would bring enough "change-pesos" especially if you need to get anything from the store they kept saying they didnt have change. Also at money exchange they dont have enough to exchange your dollars. I would suggest you take enough change(pesos-coins as well) :)

The design, fixtures/fittings, colours, textures, art and layout of the hotel and rooms is beautiful, calming, stylish and extremely well thought through. We stayed in 2 different rooms and both were excellent. Some of the best I've stayed in - this is definitely a huge draw for this hotel! And the food and service in the hotel is excellent too. I wish more hotels were like this!!

The hotel is super well located. It is very neat and clean. The staff was very attentive. It has beautiful murals and a sweet terrace were we enjoyed our morning tea. There is a book store on the other side of the street that sells food and we ordered to eat at the hotel. They have the best soups we ever had.

We arrived early in the morning with a night bus and the guy at the desk has been so kind to guard our luggages and inform us whether the room was ready. He also gave us informations about where to have an express laundry with reasonable price. The hotel is small but very pretty
