A truly beautiful and cozy boutique hotel within walking distance of the beach. The hotel is run by Alana and Cesar, a wonderfully warm and welcoming couple who make you feel right at home. The service is exceptional, and the rooms are spacious, featuring a large and comfortable bed, a fully equipped kitchen, a generous shower, and a private balcony. One of the highlights is the lush garden with a refreshing pool, perfect for relaxing. But the absolute best part is the rooftop, offering breathtaking ocean views—an ideal spot to enjoy both sunrise and sunset.

Everything was just fabulous! I have traveled all over the world and stayed in countless hostels, and this is one I won’t forget for all the right reasons. We stayed at Petra’s for 4 nights and could not recommended Petra’s more! It was an incredible experience, Paola was so friendly and accomodating from the second we arrived. The rooms are great with everything you need, the beds are comfortable and air conditioning is awesome - there is even doonas, which we have not found at anywhere else we have stayed in Mexico so we loved this! The rooms are also cleaned wonderfully everyday with towels, water and sheets replaced. Paola was so thoughtful and gave us many different foods to try such as water, coffee and fruit whenever we liked! She was always there if we needed anything and is so quick to respond by message, she even went to get Birthday candles from the store for us for our friends birthday. Paola also has great recommendations of where to go and what to eat during the stay. Petra’s is located in a great location only a short walk to the Main Street shops in La Punta and the beach, there are so many awesome food options around. We wish we had stayed here longer and will definitely be back if we are to ever to be in Puerto Escondido again. You will not regret staying at Petra’s it’s a fantastic experience that made our time in Puerto Escondido so amazing and you truely feel like you’re at home when staying! Thank you Paola and Petra’s for making our time so great!

Really enjoyed my stay here. A calm oasis in La Punta. Never busy. Plenty of sunbeds on the beach and round the 2 small pools. Great food and cocktails at the beach bar. Staff all friendly and helpful. I made the right choice picking this hotel

New gem in Puerto Escondido, beautiful boutique property 2 min walk from the beach/restaurants located on a quiet street. The garden is kept lush giving privacy and a feeling of being surrounded by jungle. Host was very responsive to all questions/requests. Simple yet the details made it feel so luxurious, we will definitely be back.

Beautifully designed hotel just one block away from the beach at Zicatela. The interior design of the rooms is flawless, the AC works perfectly, the pool is very quiet, it felt like an oasis in Puerto Escondido even though it’s right at the center of all the action. Staff was fantastic, they allowed for a very late checkout, which was perfect for us because we had a late flight out. This gave us an opportunity to dive for the second day straight in the Pacific Ocean, which is not always an obvious thing to do in Mexico because of the currents elsewhere. The reception will send you their local tips via WhatsApp; do not miss getting an ice cream at Passion, dinner at Chicama and breakfast at Malagua, knowing that you have picked the best hotel in the area. Good job!

    Hotel Kuaa was the perfect spot for our stay in Puerto...

    Hotel Kuaa was the perfect spot for our stay in Puerto Escondido. The staff is attentive and facilitated everything we needed while we were there, from taxis to in room massage to even calling a doctor when one of us got sick. The location of the hotel is super convenient, right on the beach, but also removed enough from the main party scene that it feels secluded and relaxing. Highly recommend staying here
