The local buses were the best and cheapest form of transport with a weekly Tallinja card. Excellent food prepared with fresh ingredients was readily available. Victoria, Gozo is such a beautiful and special place. Walking through its streets feels like stepping into a different world, with its historic charm and peaceful atmosphere. I actually live on the outskirts of Victoria and would certainly recommend it to visitors to Gozo and Malta. Gozo is mainly very beautiful with historic villages and many magnificent churches and neolithic remains. Victoria's historic center with its medieval narrow streets, busy squares, restaurants, churches and Citadel feature as the primary attractions. Escape from the heat and buzz of activity by relaxing in the beautiful Villa Rundle Gardens. For opera fans the city does have two opera houses which stage performances in October.
