Definitely exceeded my expectations. Extremely supportive staff, we were upgraded to separate 3-room apartment with a large balcony with a view to city and to see. The cleaning was doing definitely extra - always was nice to get back when everything was extra clean. Everything was so close, the playground, the pool, the salt pans, the beach with nice views, convenience shops, and bus station right across the street. Ideal for a family with small kids (my was 3.5 years old). Definitely recommend.

The accommodation was very nice for the price, staff was friendly and the food at the restaurant was amazing. We were a group of friends and felt amazing. The beach is a 3 minute walk as well and the hotel has a bar which is also good.

Everything. It’s exactly the same as in the photos. And the owner was amazing, replying quick and really kind, always ready to help. The location is great, right next to a bus stop and we had everything we needed for the start (toilet paper, oil, hairdrier…)

I honestly don’t know where to begin,this B&B is simply stunning. In fact, I can’t believe it’s “just” a B&B and not a 4-star hotel! The owners have poured so much attention to detail into every corner that it truly sets high expectations. I genuinely don’t understand how this place doesn’t have all 10+ reviews,they take care of absolutely everything. From the free coffee machine in their charming reception area to the breakfast (which is to die for), to the beautiful rooms with breathtaking views...Amazing 😍 The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. And the pool area? Wow, i have never experienced b&b like this before. On top of that, they even offer their own boat trips, which was an unforgettable experience. There’s honestly nothing to complain about. This isn’t your typical B&B, it's a hidden gem in the heart of Marsaskala ♥️♥️

The location was perfect. The spacious balcony was a blessing in 28 degrees. Couldn't find fault with this cosy, clean apartment. Ideal for a couple. We will definitely be back. Howard was extremely helpful.

The apartment itself was beautiful it comes with a pool and amazing view and an brilliantly refurbished house. Genuinely every facility within the apartment was gorgeous!! It comes equiped with ac, WiFi , a tv, an equipped kitchen with cutlery and/pots and seasoning. However what made our stay the most enjoyable was how genuinely kind the hosts were. They offered to drive us to and from the airport and were there whenever we needed help or assistance with anything- they are life savers!! We had a power outage on our fourth day, however, they had come and flipped the breaker on and even stayed to double check everything was working (keeping in mind this was at around 10 pm/11 pm) and there were no issues and then proceeded to let us know we could call them regardless of time if it happened again! On top of this when we had arrives to the airport one of the hosts and his son explained different areas to visit and recommended beaches and food spots and even told us about the tallinja app and what kind of bus card we should buy if we needed any. In marsakala there is so many nice restaurants that are extremely affordable like Angelina’s who have an amazing seafood risotto! And the convenience stores in the area are extremely affordable and are open till late. The area is a small village however there is so much to do and the people and are lovely! I would definitely recommend staying at Barcaluna if you come Malta it is worth the money!!! We definitely will be coming again <3

The apartment was top notch - spotlessly clean, lovely seaview, very comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen. Our host welcomed us on our arrival and provided us with complimentary water and croissants. Despite being in a very central area of Marsascala (close to the bus terminus, shops, pharmacy, playing field and various restaurants), the apartment is in a lovely quiet neighbourhood boasting sea and country views. We really loved our short stay here and we will definitely come back again for a longer stay next time. Highly recommended!

    Relaxing village with an active but not too busy, harbour. Mainly the local Maltese and tourists with families or couples/small groups. Not many from England. Great pizza parlour on the harbour. Taj-Familja was a fabulous family run fish restaurant about 10mins from property. Recommend them both.

    I wouldn't recommend the town because everything is full of garbage. People just throw garbage on the streets. I liked the promenade by the sea. Public transport is good. The town is well connected by bus lines.

    A safe and social harbour with lots of good restaurants from fine dining to burger bars. Something for everyone. Frequented by tourists and locals. Good local buses from the centre to other villages and small beaches. Only half hour from historic Valetta and the airport.

    Lovely little harbour town - with fishing trade very much at its core. Very traditional vibe and felt very safe during the day and night. Local shops and pharmacy nearby and a beautiful mix of bars/restaurants that cater for all.

    Marsaskala is an authentic Maltese town, not far from the airport and well located for exploring southern and central Malta. It has a beautiful harbour setting where visitors and local people enjoy strolling, eating and drinking. There is a great selection of restaurants, cafes and local shops. Look out for the Nargile Lounge, the Zion Bar and Sotho Pinsa Romana. There are swimming areas around the town and a family friendly beach close by at St Thomas’ Bay. There are frequent bus services to Valletta where you can connect with the rest of the island and a few local buses to explore nearby areas in the south.

    Marsaskala was a lovely place to stay.

    Marsaskala was a lovely place to stay. The port/harbour area had numerous excellent places for dining and numerous supermarkets too. attractions included the Fort Tower and Salt Pans. We had a hire car and as Malta is quite small it was an ideal location for reaching anywhere on the island.

    The reception team was very helpful and always available. Special thanks to Olga and the other lady at reception (unfortunately I didn't get her name but she was from Serbia and when I asked, she recommended a great local restaurant for dinner). Breakfast buffet has plenty to choose from. The location of the hotel is brilliant, everything is closeby, shops, town center, restaurants, bus stops, even the airport is not too far. I would happily return to this hotel when I am in Malta again.

    I liked the room size and the cleanliness. The staff was really friendly and present in the hotel but not overbearing. They were available for support and queries. They were also very consistent cleaning and offering clean towels which was very much appreciated. I felt comfortable and slept well.
