Very welcoming and helpful staff that even came to pick us up when our vehicle broke down. The room was nice and comfortable. We enjoyed having hot chocolate near the fireplace at the restaurant. The hotel is close to the market and looks very nice, both inside and outside. The parking was also good.

Dar el Mandar is a true oasis of tranquility and hospitality nestled away into a mountain side with a stunning view of Fez and the surrounding plains. The property is designed with great attention to detail - minimalism paired with traditional Moroccon style. It is elegant and luxurious, but down to earth at the same time. We spent 2 nights here to enjoy a full-day break of relaxation, sandwiched into an otherwise pretty packed itinerary of exploring Morocco. We couldn’t have been happier with our decision. Dar el Mandar was the perfect place to find some peace and quiet, and to recharge our batteries before diving back into the bustle of Fez. The rooms are clean and tastefully furnished, the staff was extremely attentive and they served excellent food as well. If we ever come back to Morocco we will make sure to spend a few nights here, Inshallah :)

We lived one of the best experiences ever with Kamal and Jalila We had a delicious dinner, the house is wonderful and Bhalil is magical We had dinner together and laughed a lot! Beautiful cave house with amazing decoration- could look at all the rugs and ceramics and paintings forever! The hosts were really friendly and helpful, I don’t speak French but still they managed to communicate with me. It had a really nice communal feeling, as another family was staying and we had a delicious dinner and breakfast together and played cards! Highly recommend :)
