We had the most magical stay in Villa Blu. Mr. Kamal was extremely friendly and had a wide knowledge about Sri Lanka, it was a delight to speak to him about it. Also Lakmal, Mithun en Lansantha did everything to make the stay perfect. They put on some belgian songs especially for us, they made us complimentary ice tea (which was really good) and they even put a table for two under the stars for dinner. The meals were delicious and the room was stylish and clean. Mr. Kamal proposed to do the birthwatching tour with sunset, this was incredibly beautiful and a must-do when you’re here. Would highly recommend staying here to have a calm and quiet time, far away from the busy tourist places!

As a family of five, we had an unforgettable vacation at Turtle Beach Hotel. The friendly and attentive staff gave us a warm welcome and ensured our stay was relaxing and comfortable. A special mention goes to Rajesh, who took excellent care of us, especially when it came to helping us choose the best dishes. His recommendations and attention to detail truly elevated our dining experience. The hotel’s location is absolutely stunning – right on a beautiful natural beach with turquoise waters and soft white sand. It was perfect for all of us, from the youngest to the adults. The beach is peaceful and safe, making it ideal for families. The food was exceptional, with a wide variety of dishes that catered to all our tastes – from local specialties to kid-friendly options. Thanks to Rajesh’s guidance, we enjoyed fresh seafood and a range of culinary treats we might have otherwise missed. Turtle Beach Hotel is a perfect choice for families, combining comfort, natural beauty, and outstanding hospitality. We would gladly return!

What an amazing find! If we would have known this hotel is so great, we definitely would have planned more than the 2 nights! By far the best rooms and best service we have had in Sri Lanka. The owner runs the hotel himself and takes care of everything. Great breakfast and unbelievable dinner. There is no menu, instead the owner writes a new menu every day, depending whats good and fresh at the market. Unbelievable prices for the food. I paid less for the biggest and tastiest tuna steak I had in my life than I paid for a club sandwich in some other places in Sri Lanka. Great mattress, great pillows. Clean rooms. Hot water. AC works perfectly. The beach was almost empty at times. So this is a great place to relax, enjoy the sun and the beach. It is a bit away from all the hustle and the next city is a bit away, so don't go there, if you want to party. The hotel is right next to a bird sanctuary, so if you want to do a bird watching tour, this is great starting point.

Ravanna Garden is a boutique hotel like no other. The staff, food, rooms, garden, pool, beach are all exceptional. It is a little oasis in an otherwise busy world! On Arrival there is building works going on which a little off putting, but no one is disturbed by it and once walked beyond it you arrive into the oasis! The rooms are large, super clean and comfortable with every facility needed . NOTE - on arrival you are asked to let them know if ,and when, you would like your room cleaned. Remember this is an eco hotel, therefore how often do you really need your towels and linen changing ?! The food is exceptional, organic, local, and you can even buy their own local spices. The service throughout is excellent and they cannot do enough to ensure your stay with them is nothing short of everything you would like. A walk along the beach is must to the harbour wall where there is a safe swimming spot, and many of the locals converge there. Be brave and stay longer than 1 or 2 nights, it is very much well worth it - there are added surprises along the way and the team do everything they can. Bikes are available to go the local temple and a visit with a hotel guide to show the effects of the Tsunami is a must, plus the wildlife and roadside stores make for a very interesting visit.
