We regret only staying one night in this wonderful hotel... We really enjoyed the beautiful setting, the swimming pool, the very clean and comfortable room and the delicious dinner and breakfast! Our stay at Sielen Diva exceeded all expectations for many reasons: - The villa is GORGEOUS - the pictures on the booking page are already beautiful, but in person it's even more beautiful. The common areas are comfortable and the room was spaceous, luxurious and worked well for our 7 day stay. The close proximity to the nearly private, quiet beach is also a massive a massive bonus as the beaches in the area are fairly crowded with tourists. - The food is DELICIOUS - we traveled around Sri Lanka for 2 weeks and the food at Sielen Diva was the best we had throughout our whole trip. The menu is extensive with everything from Avocado toast and granola bowls in the morning to delicious fresh juices, specialty cocktails, home made ice cream to more traditional sri lankan food such as curries. I also have to mention that the chef and villa manager are super attentive to their guests' needs. Every evening we got a special mix of curries, one of us is allergic to onion and the food was adapted to this and we briefly mentioned that we love mangoes, after which we got fresh mango daily. - The staff is the KINDEST we've ever experienced - the villa staff was honestly what made our trip (on top of everything else). Everyone is SO SO friendly, helpful and caring. I want to give a special mention to the villa manager George who went above and beyond throughout the whole week to make our stay comfortable and smooth, organising rides, a special birthday celebration with cake, giving advice, picking up fresh veggies, seafood and fruit from the farmer's market and generally being an amazing human. Both of us have traveled loads around the world and stayed at top notch hotels and our experience at Sielen Diva was among the best (if not the best) hotel experience we've ever had. Do yourself a favor and STAY HERE!!!

we stayed here at the end of September so the sea was not as calm as it would normally be (or so the locals told us) but you could still go into the sea but maybe not for too long. We enjoyed ambling around the town and going into Gaul more. We used the pool at our hotel more than the beach here.

All sea view rooms and the room we stayed in was very spacious . A few minutes walk to jungle beach. The staff was friendly and even made arrangements to get our meals sorted. There is a kitchen and if we bring the raw materials we can even cook on our own , just need to pay them for the space we use. Over all I enjoyed unwatuna because it was conveniently located too.

Great place to go we stayed three nights I would stay less. Slightly more expensive than Mirrisa and the tourist are mainly Russian. Turtle beach is great. Recommend as best place to see turtles for free .

Sadly not a lot to do here. Restaurants menus are similar where ever you choose to eat. Shopping is limited. Beach was good and fairly clean. A weekend (2 nights) would've been plenty of time to spend in Ulawatuna. Lots of tuk tuks around but constantly pestered being asked if I needed one. Lots of people selling things on the beach, some are very persistent. Also had people approach begging for money. 1 followed me for 5 minutes and kept trying to grab my arm.

Unawatana has a splendid beach.

Unawatana has a splendid beach. There are lots of places to stay and eat. We ate in 2 good places, one on the beach with varied food, mostly fish, very good and one Sri Lankan food which was great A downside is that behind the beach is a bit of a shop/cafe/rooms strip. But you don’t have to go there

Unawatuna has a long and beautiful white sand beach and a turquoise blue sea. It's a good base for those wishing to visit attractions in southern sri lanka (national parks/tea plantations etc.), but is not very lively in terms of nightlife, and I was surprised to find around 80% of other tourists were Russianr.

I was in this hotel for a week. I liked everything very much, spacious rooms, friendly staff, quiet place, to get to the center you need a bike, but you need it everywhere in Sri Lanka, so it was not a problem. the absence of a large number of insects and a couple of cute kittens that play with you during breakfast left a lot of the best emotions. if you stay in unawatuna, then only in this hotel! special thanks to all the staff, see you soon

We had an amazing room with a great sea view (room No 1), smelt gorgeous & had a birthday card waiting for me, lovely touch. Great location on the beach, the best breakfast we had in Sri Lanka & the hotel food was great. Attentive staff who were friendly & accommodating, they couldn't do enough for you. All in all we had an amazing stay at Kingfisher.

Great hotel when visiting Unawatuna! It's located in the somewhat busy Main Street but the hotel is a really calm and relaxt place. We have chosen the bungalow which was great! We had our own terrace and a beautiful outside shower. Great value for money when you compare to other hotels at the South Coast of Sri Lanka.

Everyone was very nice and helpful, the breakfast was also good (different choices between Sri Lankan & western breakfast). Very comfortable bed as well! The location is great - very close to the beach, but also very quiet. We highly recommend this hotel when staying in Unawatuna.
