The staff at La Maison really went above and beyond. From greeted arrivals with welcome drinks to attentive and friendly staff at the restaurant. Chamara in particular was an excellent concierge. He booked appointments for me at the local spa (Noelines is great!) organised transfers and provided helpful recommendations. The hotel is a green oasis in busy Colombo. I enjoyed lounging by the pool and slept in the most comfortable bed. The location was safe so I felt comfortable walking to other cafes, restaurants and ATMs on my own. The owner Christophe is very passionate about his hotel and will happily answer questions or give you a tour. There are seven rooms at La Maison each with their own French theme. Finally I’d recommend the cheese platter which is actually made up of French imported French cheeses!

The most noticeable thing is the attitude of the staffs. They are so much welcoming and always ready to help. Room is also spacious and clean. Bed will give you so much comfy. They provided chairs and table in the room which was very much helpful for me to study. And need to mention about food. It was so delicious. According to the price range this hotel provides the best.

Staff is very helpful, owner is super loyal, he even provided a room for me before getting mine as I checked in at night, which also was not a problem for him to welcome me so early in the morning. There is a common kitchen which u can use for cooking and it’s empty almost all the time, hotel is pretty spacious also. Rooms and kitchen r clean, beach is 2 min walking, nice, clean and beautiful. Its a bit of a local area of Colombo, but a Bus station is very near to travel to center of the city. Many shops r around too. Highly recommended.
