Olinda Galle is an exquisite hidden gem down a quiet lane near the centre of the city. From the minute you walk in the rustic wooden doors, your breath is taken away by the beautiful central pool and surroundings. The decor is full of incredible antique pieces and thoughtful touches everywhere you look. This hotel has clearly been built by a very accomplished architect and interior designer. Our room had a wrap around balcony with both large sliding doors and teak shuttered windows. In the morning we opened up both and the room was filled with light and a breeze with the sound of birds in the surrounding palms. The bed was amazingly comfortable with crispy white sheets and gorgeous soft pillows. When we came up to bed (after a truly delicious supper of octopus and prawns) we found that the room had been prepared for us with the Roman blinds pulled down and the mosquito net closed around the four poster bed. No stone is left unturned here and the attention to detail from the staff was second to none.

The property is brand new, very well decorated and clean. Since it’s outside the main road, it’s also very quiet and peaceful. The owner and staff are the friendlier and caring you can find - ready to assist any time - who also prepare delicious and varied breakfast every day. We booked the place for two nights and ended up staying six. WiFi works is extremely fast, which is very convenient if you have to work and do VTC. Also the rooms are much bigger than advertised, they have a separate kitchen and a washing machine! We would definitely go back to this peaceful hidden gem! A special thanks to Sasini and Menaka for their kindness - we will miss you!

What a lovely place. One of the nicest rooms we had on our trip through Sri Lanka. Very spacious, spotlessly clean with a huge bathroom. We loved staying there. Wow ..one of the better places we have been over the years literally around the world. And especially in Sri Lanka. Hence starts with a super refreshing fresh welcomr juice you can chose from the menu yourself. Check in fast and earlier possible than the official check in time. Whole hotel new and with a pretty classy design. Also infrastructure bat a rather very high level. Very cosy rooms with a super bathroom. The staff really extremely friendly, fast and helpful. Especially to be mentionned Amien at the reception. The breakfast simply delicious with good cafe or tea included (not always the case in Sri Lanka). Yet almost too much since two big rounds based on your menu preferences 🤪. Also the dinner delicious for a bit higher price (yet better food than a highly rated restaurant closeby). Super well located in the very center in Galle fort yet rooms all silent (on the other side of the road try tonic spa..very qualitative spa rooms and charmy colonial infrastructure with excellent massage for a fair price). Even so over 150 usd the night..its great value for money👍. Definitely a place to stay☺️!
