The staff is wonderful. During our entire trip through Sri Lanka we haven't met any nicer people than here. Moreover, the food they offer you will not only fulfill your taste buds, it will also fill you for days to come. Lastly, they are in a brilliant location to provide safaris to Yala and are great at finding animals and explaining around the whole ecosystem.

Hotel River Front was a little piece of paradise for the 2 nights we stayed here (with my husband and 5 year old). The entire property is immaculately clean - from the gardens to the rooms and bathrooms - it was spotless. Room and bathroom was large, good hot water in shower, good air-conditioning, lovely balcony overlooking garden wirh river at the bottom. Pool was fabulous and great to relax around after a safari. We ate dinner at the hotel on both nights. Food was really delicious and good choice. Breakfast was included in the package and was very good (fresh pancakes, fruit, toast, eggs, sausage, etc...). On the morning of our safari they packaged a breakfast up for us which was appreciated. Hotel organised a private safari for us. Channa was our guide and was brilliant. So knowledgeable and went out of his way to ensure we had a great day. We saw loads of animals including leopards and the scenery was stunning. A special thanks to all the staff who made our stay so special- they all do a fabulous job and made us so very welcome. If we are back in the area we would definitely stay here again.

I loved staying with Randy and his family. His place is next to a beautiful lake full of wildlife and they have a beautiful garden full of birds. The room was big and comfortable and they were really attentive and made me feel like home. Randy showed me around the area and took me to see local crafting processes. He knows a lot about the culture and history of the Tissamaharama and took me to beautiful places. I really recommend staying in their place and taking some time to see the surroundings.

Super clean, amazing and very attentive owner and staff and gorgeous view of the lake. The owner picked us up from the bus stop and showed us around the lakes. He is so knowledgeable about all the fauna and takes time to tell you about everything. We saw all kinds of birds, crocodiles, bats and the water buffalo. The owner showed us interesting places related to local culture and it was fascinating. The food and service were both exceptional. We did the safari tour and it was great but my favorite part of the trip was the Tissa tour by the hotel owner. Don’t miss it!

We spent two nights at Nehansa Resort and Safari as a group of six, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. We were warmly welcomed with fresh coconuts. Each room had air conditioning private bathroom, plenty of space, and super comfortable beds. On the day of arrival, our host took us to a beautiful lakeside spot to watch birds and bats waking up at sunset, followed by a delicious dinner and a tasty breakfast the next morning – the food here is truly worth recommending. The entire staff was incredibly kind, always smiling and very helpful, even dropping us off at the bus for our next destination. If we could have stayed longer, we absolutely would – highly recommended!
