Very clean, and a good location for the pekoe trail. The owner Nalinda is very kind and is an exceptional host. The food was fabulous! Delicious pumpkin curry and daal! Very reasonable price for what i was offered

We had the most unforgettable stay at The Lavender House in Sri Lanka. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The location is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views all around—truly a piece of paradise. We were welcomed with a wonderful surprise: a room upgrade to what felt like a private, luxurious villa. The space was unbelievably spacious and beautifully designed, offering total comfort and privacy. As we were celebrating our honeymoon, the staff went above and beyond to make it special with lovely welcome snacks and a room decorated with such thoughtful detail—it meant so much to us. Our personal butler was exceptional—attentive, kind, and always ready to help with anything we needed. One of the highlights of our stay was a scenic tour organized for us, and they even packed a delicious lunch box, which was such a considerate touch. The location of the hotel especially our room is fantastic! We enjoyed the majesty of the Ramboda fall directly from our rooms without any obstructions. Throughout the stay we amazed seeing and hearing the beautiful falls from our rooms and terraces! The short walk from the hotel to the foot of the falls is mesmerising! From one of our rooms, we also enjoyed watching another two falls in distance, which were also very beautiful. The staff are very helpful and friendly and made our stay unforgettable. The food was amazing with the mixture of western and Sri Lankan cuisine. We love to stay again in the same hotel same room during our next Sri Lankan trip.

Superb location, it has nice views of Puna ella waterfall and lokking over the kotmale reservoir. Can see the lower ramboda falls also. We were very satisfied with spacious room and the views it offered. Super relaxing spot. Food was good and they had a big SL food menu.They have very friendly staff.

The hotel is of course old, but the team is excellent - the rooms are renovated, the plumbing and bathroom are new and comfortable, there is hot water. The Windows overlook the road, but the view is of the mountains and greenery. The noise from the road is not audible if you close the windows. Breakfasts and dinners are super delicious. You can also order lunches. A wonderful woman cooks, you can warn about your preferences in advance - in general, all questions and wishes can be quickly and clearly resolved through Farvees (Operations Coordinator). The rooms are spacious, there is everything you need and an electric kettle and tea. Around the mountains, waterfalls and tea plantations factories, temples - we specially returned to these places after a trip to Noir Elia and Ella. The hotel itself has a lot of common comfortable spaces in the fresh air and under the roof - you can be alone or gather a company at the table, we used free billiards for guests. Special thanks to the Beautiful Shiva for an interesting and informative tour. The hotel has a good natural cosmetics and tea shop.

This is a carefully designed small cottage. Compact but very comfortable. Out door sitting areas, stoned carved seats and bath tubs, swings, tree house nets. Kids loved it. We loved the peaceful nature and the calm environment.

I really enjoyed staying here. the atmosphere was fantastic. it was an amazing view. the landlord is respectful. there is a special person here his name is Akila and I never met like him. he is not just helpful but also has huge historical information about the country, which will help you to understand many things in Sri Lanka. his hospitality is something I can't explain as I think you will see something different if you visit this place and meet this man. they can make your food as well. I recommend this villa, especially for family. there are 5 rooms and you can book the whole Villa as a family and enjoy the place. I felt as if I was at home. just the Road need some maintenance, but they can take you from the main road through the top of the hill. only thing the internet is quite not good but for me I don't care about it but I have to be honest, However the told me that the company was doing some maintenance for the tower of communications.

When hiking the Pekoe Trail we stayed here for a night, and what a nice house in a beautiful spot it is! Perfectly located on the trail, high up to catch the views, and a little distance away from town which is no issue at all, as a short tuktuk ride will get you to dinner quick. Host Prosper is intelligent and fun, we loved his company, and he knows to give you space and privacy too. If you like he can whip up some breakfast for a small fee too. A bright and cheerful homestay, I reckon all fellow Pekoe walkers should stop by here for a memorable stay. We more then enjoyed it
