The view from hotel is mind blowing.the host is true gentleman and he was responding over messages before arrival for everything. He arranged driver accommodation also in minimal cost. The breakfast is everything you can think of in a good resort. You can easily plan for 2night stay if coming to Ella

The place was very modern/ had a good aesthetic and was very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They arranged and paid for tuktuks to/from the train station. The view was spectacular from our room as well as the breakfast area. Quick walk to main town area and tea fields which you can go for a wander in. Would definitely stay here again!

The property was in a beautiful and convenient location in Haputale. The room we stayed in had one of the best views I’ve ever seen. The prices were very reasonable. There were several food items to pick from the dinner and breakfast menus. Overall highly recommended for locals and tourists both!

Everything ! The place is amazing. It is charged with history and beautiful. You will find books and board games everywhere to enjoy by the fireplace when the sun goes down. The gardens are a dream. There are very well curated and you will be able to observe the birds nesting in the trees. And the view ! There is no words to describe it. It is breathtaking. Finally, what we enjoyed the most was the service. We are used to travel in luxury hotels and the staff of Thotalagala have nothing to envy to the most experienced staff. The food was really good and every team member was very kind and thoughtful. They gave us a free upgrade, offered us so many little attentions that I can mention everything in this comment. They are knowledgeable and flexible, they care for every little details, they are passionate about hospitality and genuinely caring about people. And at the end, that is the thing that matters. They are the one making this place feels like home and we hope to be able to visit them again.

This place was one that exceeded our expectations. The hosts were very friendly and kind. The scenery that came with the amazing location was so pleasant to the eyes. And the food was very “like home” to us (We’re Sri Lankan). The room was very spacious, with a nice clean bathroom. Overall the stay here was very relaxing.
