We stayed for 2 nights and had a great experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to answer our questions and assist us. The view from the balcony was absolutely beautiful, a perfect place to relax. Although the location is a bit far from the city, the property offers its own shuttle service to the center at any time you need, which was very convenient. The only small downside was that the room got a bit chilly in the evenings.

The people at The Cubes are fantastic! We arrived late in the evening and it rained hence the road was wet. The slope up to the accomodation was a little steep and our car had some problem going up. 4 guys came very quickly to check and helped pushed the car up! So very grateful. We were greeted with great smiles and welcome drinks...felt like friends instantly. Breakfast was great too looking out to the hills and had a good chat with the accomodation manager. On the whole, the staff were very friendly, helpful and patient. Thank you The Cubes!

We have awesome stay here. Its exactly the same as in the pictures. We really could see the waterfall from our bedroom. Its simply amazing. The breakfast fast tasteful and big. We highly recommend.

A very nice hotel in Ella. The rooms are large and clean. The manager is extremely friendly and courteous. He always asks if everything is okay and responds immediately to any requests. The breakfast is delicious and offers a wide selection of local and international specialties. The hotel is in a great location. It is secluded, so you can enjoy peace and quiet, but the main street is only a few minutes' walk away. The view is spectacular. We would definitely come back again.

Hidden gem. Super comfortable and clean stay. Amazing staff, felt so welcome. You 100% need a scooter to stay here as it’s a 10 minute scoot into town. They can provide one for 2500 rupees a day. Breakfast was amazing. Great views. Highly recommend.

Lovely stay with lovely hosts Amazing view from the rooms and from the restaurant area while we had breakfasts. Rooms we stayed newly build, clean, spacious and well designed. Staff very careful and helpful. Helped for us to arrange transport to town and back for reasonable cost

If you are looking for a quiet home stay to take a break from hotels, then this is the perfect place for you. We only stayed here for one night as it was our overnight stop on our way to Galle, but it was enough time to see how special this place is. It is newly built, located above the road away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It has a beautiful mountain view that you will appreciate as soon as you open your eyes in the morning. It is well maintained, clean and tidy. However, the whole experience would not have been the same without the warm welcome and hospitality of the owner Chathu and her family. They organized a Sri Lankan dinner and breakfast for us and made us feel very welcome. If we ever find ourselves in Ella again, we will definitely be back.
