The hotel is located in a scenic location bordering a beautiful Paddy field. We were able to reach the place in 10 minutes from the Kurunegala Clock Tower. The tuktuk charged us two dollars for it. The staff welcomed us very warmly and prepared everything we needed. There is a restaurant serving Sri Lankan and Chinese food at affordable prices. They are very tasty. But a bit spicy. They charged us a very reasonable price for the bottle of wine we got at this restaurant, which had both local and foreign liquor. They also provided free laundry service, and they were kind enough not to charge us anything for morning tea. Although there are a few things that need to be improved, we are indebted to them for providing us with a fair and valuable accommodation for the money they charged us.

It was like heaven on earth. Such a lovely location . Peaceful , calm , quiet. Excellent location for the best get away. Excellent facilities. Spotless. Delicious food and lots variety to chooose from.

Lovely clean room, personal service and great food

Ruwanara Royal Majestry is by far the best hotel in the Kurunegela district and one of the best in Sri Lanka! It is a hidden gem and I cannot emphasis how much I enjoyed my stayed here !! To start off with the rooms are more specious than you can ever imagine, it is bigger than the photos ! The beds are extremely luxurious and big, the bathroom is so large and you have enough room to store all your toiletries. Next the room itself is equipped with a big wardrobe, iron and ironing boards, mini fridge and even a nice private study area for relaxation or business work. The staff, are the epitome of Sri Lankan hospitality! From the beginning we were made to feel very welcome into this property and with open arms they made our stay the best stay ever ! This is my home away from home and next time I am in Sri Lanka, I will stay here and will be recommending this hotel to all our family and friends as well! Special thanks to Kavindu, Amila, Anura, chef Priyantha for catering to our every need and making us feel like royalty with their treatment !! They were so kind and I will never forget their hospitality as this kind of quality and service is extremely rare to find ! The property itself is tucked away behind some beautiful paddy feels and our room overlooked the most amazing pool which is cleaned daily! The pool itself we have been in several times and it is clean and extremely refreshing on the warmer days. When we weren’t in the pool we were in the comfort of the AC’d hotel room, watching TV or sleeping on the comfy beds. A perfect holiday! Ruwanara is one of a kind and you won’t find a hotel like this anywhere in Sri Lanka or surrounding areas. We saw many magnificent weddings taking place and we learnt it caters up to 450 person weddings and can accomodate guests with rooms as well! I have recommended this hotel to all my family for any of their upcoming weddings as I think the service and location is just perfect !! I cannot wait to be back.

The food here was a delightful surprise. From a scrumptious breakfast to a tasty lunch, dinner, and even coffee breaks, every meal was a culinary treat. The flavors and variety were simply outstanding. The staff members went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. They were not only attentive but also incredibly kind, making us feel at home. Their dedication to providing us with coffee, meals, and assistance at all hours was truly heartwarming. The hotel's setting is nothing short of enchanting. Surrounded by lush jungle, it offers a unique and immersive experience in nature. The sounds of the jungle, the rustling of leaves, and the songs of birds create an atmosphere of tranquility and adventure. The outdoor pool, strategically located by the river, was a highlight of our stay. It provided a refreshing escape under the sun, with the soothing backdrop of the river's gentle flow. It was a perfect spot to unwind. The proximity to the river allowed us to connect with nature in a special way. In summary, my stay at this hotel was a delightful blend of great food, exceptional hospitality, immersion in nature, and the joy of sharing space with charming animals. It was an unforgettable experience that left me feeling refreshed and connected to the beauty of Sri Lanka's natural world. I can't wait to return for a longer stay!

The location, building, food and service!

Had an amazing one-night stay.The room was clean,cozy and well furnished with a big TV.Washroom was spotless with good water pressure.Wi-Fi was fast and reliable.The meal provided was fresh and tasty.Staff were friendly and helpful.Quiet location,safe environment. Everything was perfect.great value for money.Highly recommended!

An amazing location outside of the hustle and bustle of the city, we loved the tranquil surroundings, the facilities of the hotel are amazing and the staff! Best food we have ever had here for dinner - try the vegetable kottu!
