I always use this hotel when I travel to Badulla. The reason is that the hotel is in the city center, so it is very convenient for exploring the city of Badulla, and the price is very good. Also, the facilities are clean, and all the staff are very friendly. The food at the restaurant is also very delicious. I’ve been traveling in Sri Lanka for three weeks, and Crown Regency is the best hotel I’ve stayed at. It’s not far from the bus station, with a market and supermarket nearby. The best part is you don’t need to worry about finding a restaurant—the rooftop restaurant’s food is incredibly delicious, and the breakfast is hearty. The prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is great, and locals often dine there too. I even met some friendly locals at the restaurant who took me around Badulla. The hotel is in a quiet alley with stunning mountain views, beautiful in both rain and shine. The price is very affordable, yet the service feels like a five-star hotel. Vinishya, in particular, went out of her way to show me a wedding venue hosted at the hotel. The rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable—I’d say cleaner than many four-star hotels. The air conditioning and fans work perfectly, and the hot water in the bathroom is reliable. The Wi-Fi is a bit unstable, but I managed fine with my phone’s network. I originally planned to stay one night but ended up staying three. Thank you, Crown Regency, for providing such high-quality accommodation for travelers. This is my honest review.

Kamal really put in the effort to make sure we had a nice stay. The room we stayed in was super tidy and perfect for our needs. We felt really welcomed, the highlight was the dinner they cooked us. We have been in sri lanka for 16 days, it's easily said that it was the nicest, authentic meal we've had so far. Would definitely stay again. 👌

The accommodation is wonderful, from its wild setting to the extremely welcoming hosts and the activities they offered (like swimming in a local, non-touristy mountain river and visiting the 'mini World's End'). It's a traditional Sri Lankan house converted to a hotel and it's located right in the center of the Bibila city. The hotel staff is very polite and friendly to us. The food was also really delicious and we enjoyed it. The garden is also full of the plans and greens. 💯 recommended.

This guesthouse, run by a couple, is about 1 km from the bus station. After checking in, I learned they have two separate buildings with rooms. The newer one looks decent, but I stayed in the older one. It’s very basic and somewhat clean, but the room is quite dated. There’s no Wi-Fi, the room is warm and hot without air conditioning, and the shower only has cold water. The electric fan is noisy, and sometimes bugs come into the room from outside. They provide mosquito coils, though. For such a low price, this is probably what you get. The couple is friendly and kind, clearly good people. They even helped me receive my courier delivery.

We stayed at Orelia with our 9-year-old son and had a great time. The place is located about 20 minutes walk from the center of Badulla, which in my opinion is a perfect balance between peaceful rest and easy access to the busy and noisy city. Badulla itself is a fantastic place to experience real local life. It’s a typical Sri Lankan town with very few tourists, and the people are incredibly friendly. I highly recommend visiting Badulla if you're looking for an authentic taste of Sri Lanka. As for the accommodation, there are a few wooden bungalows to choose from. Some are small, some are larger — we saw three of them, and each had its own unique charm. The smallest one had an amazing view and a spacious patio. The two larger ones had a second floor with stairs that might not be ideal for elderly guests, but they also had balconies and patios. The staff were extremely helpful and always willing to assist — whether it was doing the shopping, ordering meals from local restaurants, or anything else we needed. I highly recommend this place if you're planning a visit to Badulla.
