Really clean and quiet hotel on the edge of the town. They have free bikes which was great to cycle to the local restaurants and the ancient city. There is also free laundry, though I didn't make use of it in the end but good to know for fellow backpackers. Bed was comfortable, AC worked really well, hot shower. My room was spotless. The staff are excellent and extremely kind. I had an unpleasant encounter during my time in Anuradhapura and Lakshan was very kind. The owner Sagara also reached out to me which was so thoughtful. Highly recommend staying here, I felt safe there as a solo female traveller.

Chaya manages the house perfectly and takes care of her guests with lots of love. We had a very good stay, an interesting cooking class and she made us very tasteful food on both nights. We were sorry to leave but will think of our stay with love.

- Adorable, thoughtful and highly welcoming owners doing their best to help with anything you may need. They arranged a tuk-tuk drive so I could visit the city and my guide really was the best too, then they arranged a taxi drive to Trincomalee at a great price with a very sympathetic and knowledgeable driver as well. - Great location and good recommendations/directions by Shehan (the owner) for places to have food/a juice by a beautiful lake, for example. - Spent some time with Shehan's wife and their son and really felt at home with them. They offered me some tea and we had some nice conversations. - Good bedroom and even could use an adaptor and mosquito repellent put at the customers' disposal in it.

We stayed just 2 Nights at Milan's little Oasis, but it was enough time to become good friends. Milan spent a lot of effort to make our stay in Anuradhapura as comfortable and interesting as possible. His Garden in front of the lake is so beautiful. You can rent bicycles at his place and he will give you a map with many sightseeing options. The chef at his place is an amazing cook. My friend is vegan and he prepared us a delicious vegan dinner. He offered us an extra private tour by night, based on his favourite religious places in Anuradhapura, with a lot of information about its history and Buddhism.This tour was really unique and I highly recommend it. The view from the room is super beautiful, the vocation is a little bit outside of the city Center what makes it really calm and natural. When I sat on the terrace I saw monkeys and palm trees. The best part of this place is the host family who treated me super kindly and made me part of the family for the time I stayed at their place. The owner of the property took me to a lot of hidden places and when I got hungry he dropped me at a really nice restaurant. I am really grateful I got to know them!
