Mango Lodge was exceptional. Rama was a wonderful guest, extremely welcoming and always ready to help. He prepared amazing breakfasts and dinners, and also brought us on an excursion to the marine park. In the end, we wished we had stayed longer!

Lovely place, ideal with family and kids. Rooms were cleaned, they always asked if we wanted our nets mosquito sprayed. Staff (especially Joffrey and Jeff) were especially very kind and helpful. Also we really appreciated that the owner, Stacey has managed to arrange a last minute transfers from Mombasa Airport and late dinner, when our pre-arranged transfer declined after a flight delay. We arrived super tired and hungry, so that dinner saved lives. :) The general breakfast was nice, portions were enough. The view and closeness of the beach and sea is amazing, we would return to this place at any give moment! High recommended! Thank you!

I had a truly amazing experience at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, professional, and incredibly attentive. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast buffet was delicious with a great variety of options. One of the highlights of my trip was the special excursion to Shale Island – it was breathtaking and perfectly organized by the hotel. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for luxury, comfort, and exceptional service.

We stayed in a beachfront room for our honeymoon and loved it. It’s a lot quieter and more peaceful than Diani, with (almost) no beach boys. The staff were very friendly and we had a great massage in the spa. The food in the restaurant was fantastic - we stayed half-board but it is all a la carte and not a buffet. We also enjoyed a kayak trip, walking round the island at low tide and a morning of scuba diving.

Pinewood Beach Resort and Spa is located on Galu Beach and 10 km away from the Ukunda Airstrip. This boutique hotel features water sport facilities, an outdoor pool and restaurants.

Very well run boutique hotel with kind, helpful, polite and always smiling staff. They worked for us hard from early in the morning till late in the evening.The garden was very well-kept, it was amezing, we felt like being in paradise. The food was so tasty with wide range. Best what you can get in the area, fantastic choice of wines in the restaurant, good minibar in the room, a lot of sun beds, very nice pool. Staff happy to help, there are a lot of service personnel, never felt crowded or left without attention though the resort was fully booked. Very nice scenery and garden in the hotel, beach cottage is very nice and unusual to live in with great view of the ocean
