This hotel is right next to Himeji train station, so you don't need a taxi / bus to reach it from the train station. The room and as well as the entire hotel was very clean, the staff helpful. We had a standard room with a super-sized bed (2.5 m large and 2.2 m long). I could fit a family with 1 or 2 small kids. Due to this large bed there wasn't much space left in the room. The room was rather quiet. At night one could hear the freight trains is awake, but nothing which would be annoying. There are plenty of restaurants nearby so you can enjoy your stay in Himeji! The hotel had coin laundry as which we used as well as a public bath which we didn't visit.

An 8-minute walk from JR Himeji Train Station, Comfort Hotel Himeji features free WiFi and guests can enjoy complimentary coffee and breakfast. Massages can be requested for additional charge.

Great location for those who come by train to visit the castle. Good condition. Good breakfast. Excellent price / quality ratio. I would definitely choose again.
