A delightful little town with an old castle and picturesque views. Not many shops around in the center, however. Only found one farmacia and one supermarket other than a small alimentari. Scilla was a nice small seaside town away from the hustle and bustle of a city. I visited in April, which is off season and the weather was perfect. The nighttime temps were cool and refreshing and the daytime was nice and pleasantly warm. The water was too cold to swim in, but I did wade along the shore a bit. Lovely town.
Lovely town. Many of the beach/Chianalea tourist-targeted businesses close in the autumn but there are still plenty of places to eat and the weather is perfect (25-27C and sunny when we were there mid-October) for exploring the region. The views across Scilla as well as the sea views and bay...
The views across Scilla as well as the sea views and bay views are all very beautiful. Scilla is on a hillside so expect lots of paths and steps as you explore Scilla. The lift near Bar Roxy on the beach takes you right up to the piazza and a cappuccino, or a pizza from Pizza Scilla. There are places to eat along the beach and in Scilla. we liked everything about our stay in Scilla Close proximity to Train Station, walking distance to the Beach, Local Cafes and Restaurants along the waterfront and across from the main beach. Walking distance to the Old town Centre either take a lift up or walk up the stairs for some paronamic views you won't be disappointed. The bathtub, little outdoor space and distance to the beach are the best things about it. Also the fact that you could park at the apartment was a big plus.
