Scicli is one of several towns in southern Sicilia worth visiting along with Modica, Noto and Syracuse. The cities of the Noto Valley have been rebuilt around the same time. Scicli is neither the largest nor the most interesting, but a pleasant, compact town where one can taste the characteristic baroque of the region. Once you've seen one, you've seen all - not completely true but there are certainly similarities. The incredible history, beauty , food, people. It may be a long way to get to. It takes more effort than other parts of Sicily. In particular if you don’t want to drive. Do your research about best bus / train routes. Go with one of the big coach com companies. Don’t do by public transport. It will take you forever! It’s worth it once you get there. The scenery on the bus route is stunning also. It’s like a film set. The beauty every where. The history is mind blowing. They know a lot about the surrounding area and help wherever help is needed. At Masseria there is a beautiful peaceful vibe.
