Nice town with much to do in town and nearby. Go to Rapallo by train and take the aerial tram to see the church and eat at the restaurant with the most beautiful terrace about 200 yards through the trees on a path of enlightenment. Go have a drink by the castle for a lively scene and view.

Lovely sea side town. Very good ferry link for Portofino.

Lovely sea side town. Very good ferry link for Portofino. Nice shops and good restaurants and are more reasonably priced than Portofino yet only takes 15 mins to travel there by boat. We went end of season in late September and there were a lot of locals swimming and enjoying the sea. I didn't get chance to walk between the 2 resorts but it looked flat and easy. Highly recommend a visit on the ferry to Santa Fruttuoso - stunning. can get busy when a big cruise ship arrives in town. The harbour is interesting and lots to see and people watch. some of the yachts are impressive!

We only stayed one night but walked along the beach and watched the sunset from the marina. We also visited the local shops and ate dinner in the restaurant next door which was excellent. We enjoyed the sunrise from our terrace. The pool was open but it is outside and unheated, so it was too cool to swim.

It was not as hectic as some nearby villages. But had easy access to the Cinque Terre by the train pass. Beautiful & clean. Lively atmosphere in the evening. Prices were a bit more reasonable as well.

Perfect place to stay if you want to visit Portofino.

Perfect place to stay if you want to visit Portofino. Relaxed and laidback. Promenade with lots of restaurants. Great beach. Ferry or bus to other villages. Feels Italian, not as pricey and touristy as Portofino.

Lovely little coastal town.

Lovely little coastal town. We had two nights here which was just the right amount. The highlight was the beautiful coastal walk to Portofino and we then took the ferry back to see the coastline from the sea. The town has some lovely restaurants and cafes and some beautiful but pricey boutiques.

We travel with a large Boxer dog. We have stayed in many 5 star hotels that said they accepted dogs but then made it very difficult for us. The staff at the hotel continental were wonderful and couldn't do enough to accommodate us and our dog. Geraldina was particularly lovely but they all were. The location is stunning with a view that takes your breath away. The Nuxe products provided and the spa are also wonderful. The breakfast buffet could not be faulted and again the service was second to none

I love everything in this hotel, honestly should be 4* as it’s immaculate perfection. The room was spacious and with the balcony I had stunning comfort feeling of being home. I’m so happy to had experience this place and 5 minutes walk to Santa Margherita beach, no need for taxis as I made the mistake to take twice taxis as I didn’t knew I could walk. But was great staying and discover.

This is a beautiful hotel in a great location in the stunning town of Santa Margherita. All of the staff are very friendly helpful and very professional. The rooms are tastefully and uniquely decorated. The breakfast is very fresh with lots of choice we would highly recommend this hotel
