we arrive early at around 1030am and were so happy to be able to check into the hotel as the room was ready. the hotel is just across the train station, and we had to get to Milan from there the next day, so it was really easy for us to catch the morning train. we requested for seafood dishes and the chef was so kind to prepare it for us even though it was not in the menu.

We are thankful to the staff of Al Cappitani for our excellent staying in Peschiera di Garda. The hotel itself is a very old building right in the centre of the town, but refurbished with great care and attention to detail. If you want to stay inside the town, this is the place to be. We were given a room that overlooked the main street, and we had a small but very cozy balcony. The room's size is decent but the bathroom was surprisingly big. Furnishing was modern and complete. A big plus is the proximity to the parking lot of the piazza. In general, our choice of AI Capitani was great and would recommend this hotel to anyone

    I have the impression that the town has lost so many of its...

    I have the impression that the town has lost so many of its services - supermarkets, fruit and veg shops, delis - and the permanent citizens of Peschiera have put their efforts into restaurants, bars and shops. It is a very pretty town but I feel it is not a real town but a tourist town. In high season the ferries are frequent to visit towns around the lake. The bus service in the area functions but is crowded due to the huge number of tourists.

    Very easy to get around & family friendly.

    Very easy to get around & family friendly. Loved walking around the lake in early morning. We went in June, it was hot and there were lots of tourists. I would recommend going off season if you're looking for something a bit more intimate and cooler weather. Trampoline near lake was fun for all, rented a boat and drove around the lake, took the ferry to Sirmione for a spa treatment and dinner, went on a 1/2 day bike tour a along the river, which all of us throughly enjoyed and will remember (2 in early 70s, a 50 year old and 15 year old).

    Towns keeps the vibe of Garda lake very well, a lot of restaurants and lovely architecture. It is easy to get around and as all places has easy ferry connection to other locations. Big plus for proximity of gardaland and viva safari park - I highly recommend this one, best value for the money so far but book at least half a day and bring good shoes as it is quite a hike.

    Peschiera is a lively resort with everything you need, and can be reached by train from Verona very quickly and easily. Numerous excellent bars, cafes and restaurants. You can hire boats for fishing or just sightseeing or take boat tours to other Lake Garda towns. We used the frequent ferry services to visit other Lake Garda resorts which were reasonably priced, comfortable and reliable. If you've got children, Gardaland is easy to reach.

    Perfect location to explore Garda and make day trips to cities such as Milan, Verona and Venice. Peschiera is on the lake ferry route and has a number of excellent places to eat as well as a delightful town centre. Minutes to Gardaland and other theme parks.

    It is a lovely town, we stay here at the end of the trip as it is accessible via ferry from the rest of the southern lake towns and there is a bus to the airport from the station which is helpful Upon arrival at the ferry port we went to the cafe kiosk at the entrance to the carpark were we enjoyed a beer served by lovely staff who called us a taxi to take us to the hotel. a taxi was necessary at this point in the trip and was a quick journey for like €10 which was really good. The taxi driver was lovely also not loads of English but we only had a few words in Italian but we made it work! Lovely scenery bars and shops. There appears to be a free bus from the station to Gardaland as well which we will definitely try next time!

    We stayed one night at the hotel and had a room for three people. The room was spacious , the AC worked well and the beds were comfortable. Loved that the shower had a very good water presssure. The staff was really nice and we enjoyed the pool and the pool area a lot. It was so nice to have an aperol spritz from the bar by the pool. The location was good and we could walk with our bags to the train station. There were some restaurants just outside the hotel.

    We had a flat (not a Dutch house) on the ground floor with the kitchen and bathroom. Everything was clean, camping is quiet at night. 30 min walk to train station and 5 min walk to bus stop. Lidl around 30 min walk. The La Garda lake and views are amazing. Personal at the reception was always superhelpful. For the price we paid and quality received there is nothing better in Peschiera.

    We really enjoyed our stay at Appartamenti Massimiliano. The apartment was clean and comfortable, and the pool area was absolutely lovely – perfect for relaxing after a day out. The location is great too – just a short and easy walk to the center of Peschiera, with shops, restaurants, and the lake nearby. Would definitely stay here again!
