A really nice town with a nice feel to it so it was pleasant to walk around. Lots of good restaurants and a brilliant cycle path around the town. “In Piazetta” was our favourite place to eat. Glorious food and top service with a smile. We like to run and we could run around the port and beachfront which was lovely. Not forgetting the Rossini museum which we really enjoyed. Pesaro is a not-so-big town and seaside resort facing the Adriatica, about 80 km from Bologna, which is connected by frequent trains. Closer are Rimini and Ancona. Also not far is San Marino, but a car is needed to go there, as there are some 35 km. The beach is fine and well kept, most of it with paid umbrellas and long seats, but there are a few places of free beach. Most hotels are along the beach. The older part of the town [between the railway and the sea] has many fine buildings, a lot of nice shops and restaurants and hosts most events during the Rossini Opera Festival (ROF) held every year in mid-August. Other events are in the Vitrifrigo Arena, in the outskirts, close to a big comercial center. Also not far from the newer part of the town [built beyond the railway]. This beach resort city is wonderful. The restaurants are very good, the people very nice. However the weather changes from one day to the next, we got there a week previous to the season ending which happened on 9/23 and that's when the temperature goes to high 60's and the water is too cold to go in, but the city is so nice it didn't matter.Guest review byLuisUnited States - 10.0

Pesaro is my father's home town, it is a wonderful place to visit. There are many great restaurants and bars. It's very family and pet friendly! There is a great cycle/walk path to the next historical town of Fano! It has got great transport links to neighbouring towns and cities, via buses and trains. Fantastic place, undeservingly underrated IMHO - packing lots of value for travelers. Happily, Italian cultural capital of 2024 with expected renovations and upgrades of infrastructure. Best for vacationers in their 60s, 70s, 80s, perhaps 50s and families with children, for great sunbathing, swimming, strolling, biking experience. Eye-pleasing, highly cultural, great local people. Would benefit more from luggage storage facilities in town, grocery store at via Trieste area, and some public transport nighttime solutions for the neighborhood areas (think Urbino). Not all town’s potential guests enjoy motoring, driving and car parking all day long, some would appreciate more relaxing time on their vacation.Guest review byGrotesqueUkraine
