I stayed here to relax for a night on April 24, 2023 before I started a road trip to Toscana. Ostia Antiqua is just 10-15 minutes from Fiumicino Airport by car and Ostia Antiqua Park is fantastic archeological site to visit for a few hours in the afternoon, which is a few minutes away from the apartment by walk. There was also a castle/fortress surrounded by restaurants nearby. So the location is excellent and convenient. The unit was a unexpectedly clean modern one bedroom suite with living/dining room. Everything looks brand new and well appointed. The host is very communicative, responsive and kind. It was an excellent and comfortable overnight stay and will definitely return if I plan another road trip from Fiumicino Airport. The host didn't provide a parking but there were a few street parking spots nearby.

Cosy quarters in a magical medieval setting. Location is right at the entrance of the old walls of Castello di Giulio II. Loved the view from the window onto the pretty square and proximity to the archaeological park. The studio was clean, and the host was accommodating and responsive. Staying at this villa was truly a five star deluxe experience. I’ve stayed in many top tier hotels around the world, but this place genuinely felt like a royal suite not just a room or an apartment. The design, cleanliness, and attention to detail were absolutely world class. Every corner of the villa exuded luxury and comfort. The host was outstanding incredibly responsive and thoughtful. Always checking in (without being intrusive) to make sure everything was perfect or if I needed anything. It felt like having a private concierge on call. If you’re looking for a place that gives you the feeling of exclusivity, elegance, and peace of mind look no further. This is way more than just accommodation it’s an experience.

    Ostia Antica Archaeologica Zone was Rome's key port for over 500 years. It is far larger and more historically significant than Pompei but does not have the same level of preservation. Allow three hours to see it well. Take the Shuttle from the entrance to the far end and walk back with the Museum and Cafe as a place to recuperate half way.

    Absolutely worth the trip and every penny - at least if you...

    Absolutely worth the trip and every penny - at least if you are a history geek and into ancient Rome. It's a massive area! You are going to be surprised at the size of it - pack water, food and sunscreen! Highly recommend audio guide / guided tour as you'll miss important parts and explanations if you don't. It's a lovely area and you can easily spend 4-6 hours at the park if your legs are up for it.

    amazing to visit Ostia Antica.

    amazing to visit Ostia Antica. However due to its short distance to the airport than Rome, formal taxi drivers refuse to drive and no option to pay with credict card. We have to pay extra to bribe the taxi driver to do us a favour, even through Uber service. They asked us to change the location when we apporached the airport otherwise he did not stop us even when we arrived in the airport....horrible

    On second thought, we must add more to our review. We asked before booking about the time to get to the airport(for a very early flight), and the reply was "It only takes 15 minutes and we'll show you when you get here." It seemed okay, so we booked. But, in fact, it was 40 minutes, in just regular traffic. And, the cost was by taxi for 37 euros. We had to run through the airport and arrived at the gate with only 10 minutes to spare!! Very stressful and unfair to us. When it said breakfast provided, we had to prepare it for ourselves. Also, the night before, we were told that the little town had several options for purchasing dinner but the options were closed. The place to buy ticket for the bus was closed, so we walked back the 1 km., maybe more, to get back. The hosts didn't seem to think about this. The kindness nature of the hosts made us accept the situation with good humor and we tried to be positive. However, in hindsight, we were disappointed. Although thee accommodations itself and the hosts welcome was fine, we regret to say we cannot recommend booking here.

    Well, IF like me you want be surprised with what you spect discover at almost 3.000 years place, OSTIA ANTICA really will amazing you! Even after visit similar places like Pompey , I’m amazing with Ostia Antica! If you have chance , take 2 or more days to stay in Ostia! And back tho the future with the PAST impregnated in your eyes, sense and heart ❤️

    I was visiting to watch the Italy V Wales Six Nations game in Rome. I honestly could not believe what an archaeological historic area Ostia Antica is. So glad i found the time to visit the Roman ruins.

    Have stayed here previously, it is a simple hotel great for visiting Ostia. Reception quick & efficient. The rooms are clean, beds & pillows comfy, quiet location. . As repeat customers, we were given room 222 which has a nice balcony overlooking pool. The breakfast, if included is simple Italian style. Ours was not included so 7€ per person a little pricey for coffee and croissant... There is a local restaurant nearby walking distance with excellent food. Will return for the good value and good night sleep.

    Our host was super helpful and provided great local information about transit and local history. The B&B is located in a quaint medieval village close to the Ostia Antica historic site and is easily reached from Rome by public transportation. It was also easy to reach the Rome airport from this location.
