Chic boutique with world class restaurant! 5 stars in all categories- Staff Accommodations Decoration Rates/pricing Amenities Overall, we felt pampered, well-taken care of and surrounded by luxury! The owners were exceptionally courteous, outgoing and made us feel very welcome. They assisted us with a late-night check in. Every time they saw us, they asked if we needed anything. Very accommodating! One of the owners even braved a severe thunderstorm to get 2 umbrellas for us to use to get to our car. Incredible customer service! We enjoyed sumptuous meals at the on-site restaurant. Extensive wine list- we really enjoyed a local Sicilian red that was so full of flavor! The tenderloin steak was divine. Try the Vesuvio pizza! *Luciano, the chef (also is the 2017 and 2019 worldwide pizza champion) was so personable and charming. He stopped by each table to ensure everyone was satisfied. Beautiful, recently renovated property! The room was very modern and spacious with a balcony overlooking the outdoor pool. Breathtaking view of the sea and Catania. The decor throughout the property was tastefully designed and built. The owner gave us a tour of several rooms and suites-we were amazed. Each room was meticulously designed and decorated with its own feel. The name of the hotel makes total sense now- Mon Luxury Vibes. The onsite parking was under construction during our visit, but once complete, it will be very convenient for the guests. Breakfast delivered to your room daily. Make your selections and delivery time the night before and enjoy prompt service of the delicious breakfast options. The attention to detail by the staff made us feel like royalty. We were truly humbled by these incredibly professional and accommodating staff members! Fabulous woodland location like something from a fairy tale . Spotlessly clean chalet with a comfy bed , great shower and effective heating . Giovanni is a responsive and kind host who sourced vegan products for our breakfast and immeditaly came to the property late at night to deal with an unexpected loss of power . We felt privileged to see a fox close up .

A very nice town, I particularly like the climate, not hot,...

A very nice town, I particularly like the climate, not hot, humid but not too humid. Many options to walk, eat etc. Very close to Aetna and Catania. I do have to want though that Italians in Sicily (don't know about the rest of Italy) are complete Gypsies! They will try to take your money using any trick they can think of! They make you pay for parking (e.g. in Palermo) and for toilets! When you sit in a restaurant or café, they charge you for the service - and if you just take away, they charge you again! In the airport with Ryanair, they made us pay 46 euro to carry the same suitcase we have been carrying in Ryanair from any other destination for free, including the flight to reach Sicily! Ancient Greek spots are too expensive - more than 10 euros each, more expensive than the Acropolis! To visit Aetna's peak with a guide needs 120 euros per person, plus another 55 if you want to see some extra landforms! So be prepared to experience the worst driving behaviour, illegal driving and road network conditions I've seen in all countries I've been to so far! Full of useless roundabouts, signs don't exist in English anywhere, and the network is too confusing for a first timer, even if he is Italian.

Great location for watching the eruptions!

Great location for watching the eruptions! The town is pretty, with plenty of eating and drinking options, and an easy journey to Catania, Syracusa, Etna and various beaches. Parking is difficult, and the roads are v narrow, so think about a small car.

Nicolosi is a great little town on base of mountains Etna.

Nicolosi is a great little town on base of mountains Etna. It has some great restaurants and a cool bar on the town square. But it is difficult to get a taxi and the walking is on busy streets. So if you are not driving your own car, you have to book taxis from Catania a day in advance. Nicolosi need Uber or investment in taxis.

This town has so much charm and everyone here is so lovely. We enjoyed going on a long walk around the neighborhood, and at night the whole town comes alive in the Piazza. These folks know how to have fun!

Anyone staying in Nicolosi for a holiday needs their own...

Anyone staying in Nicolosi for a holiday needs their own transport. Sicily is not like Malta and doesn't have a good public bus service, sadly. Also you need to be a very confident driver if you are considering hiring a car there. It's every man/woman for himself. The only other way to get around is by booking tours, which do seem to be plentiful. Plenty of good places in Nicolosi to eat and well stocked supermarkets. My only criticism really is the amount or rubbish left on the road sides, which seems such a shame for such a beautiful civilised place and is something that local councils really need to address.

Very scenic and a quaint village.

Very scenic and a quaint village. You will need own transportation to be more free to go where you want. They have rosticcierie for lunch and food is lovely. For pizza, particularly if you have intolerances, order from Punto ICS - excellent and does delivery. We also ate at La Baita di Rosemary, prices are affordable and they have a varied menu but isn't ideal for food intolerances, though they do oblige for food for children.

I really enjoyed the food — both breakfast and dinner were delicious and filling. The interior design of the hotel is tasteful, and it feels comfortable to stay in the rooms and common areas. The location is excellent, surrounded by beautiful mountains, and the view from the windows is simply stunning. I would also like to highlight the friendly and helpful staff — they were always ready to assist.
