Beautifully renovated apartment, very comfortable and really well set up. Marco greeted us on arrival and very helpful about places to eat. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying again sometime soon.

I almost don't want to share this review as I don't want the world to find this little gem...but it'd be unfair! So here goes... L'Olmo is a stunning property - pictures don't do it justice. Infact I am gave up taking pictures with my (very good) phone camera of the hotel and its surrounding scenery as it just can't be captured! There are just no words to describe how beautiful this place truly is... literally piece of paradise! The rolling green hills, the views of medival castles and towns, the amazing location - most towns within 15-30mins distance, the beautifully maintained gardens, the simple but tasty food at the hotel, the beautifully decorated rooms...and all this made better by the staff. Thank you to Sara, Matteo, Giulia and Gabriella for such a warm welcome and for taking such good care of us! We loved our stay at L'Olmo and am already making plans to visit again soon!

Agriturismo Barbi was amazing! Beautiful, clean apartment with an incredible view. Vilmo was an excellent host. He welcomed us upon check in and was available if we had any questions througout our stay. The basket of food was a very nice touch so we could cook breakfast each morning before heading out for the day. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Monticchiello.

Extremely good location. I love the traditional style of the accomodation. Also I wouldn't have known about Monticchiello if it wasn't for this accomodation. Very very peaceful place and would love to come back and stay for more days just to chill.

View from hotel patio and our room over Val d'Orcia The staff were excellent, and there was car parking. Our room was very well furnished and set up. There was a small bar so we could have a much needed drink on arrival after a long journey!

Lovely property with confortable, clean and beautiful room and amenitis, helpful staff and delicious breakfast. The small town it is located in is very charming, and the hotel views are stunning. I would just recommend anyone coming by car with difficult mobility to be aware there are few parking spaces close to the property, although we were lucky to secure one spot because we were there off season. Rather than that, we had a great stay!

    Monticchiello is a great hill top village to stay overnight...

    Monticchiello is a great hill top village to stay overnight when travelling through Tuscany. Beautifully quiet in the evening but with a number of restaurants to choose from to suit all tastes. We ate at Osteria Fra Paolino which was exceptional and proved to be the best meal of the 2 weeks we spent travelling from Rome through Tuscany to Florence.

    It's a small citadel village in Tuscany with a lot of...

    It's a small citadel village in Tuscany with a lot of character. It's best to brush up on Italian language skills before going as you can't fully get away with just English. It has a great circular walk around the fortress walls that leads into the inner part where houses and restaurants come with great stories and are inhabited by great people. The evenings are lively with tasteful music playing in the background and many patrons enjoy a good drink and some well executed food.

    Had a great cooking class at Restaurante Daria. Not only learned how to make local favorites but got to eat them along with some great wines as accompaniment. And also took home a recipe book which included what we prepared.

    Francesco is a lovely host at la casa di Adelina.

    Francesco is a lovely host at la casa di Adelina. He immediately made us feel right at home as he showed us around the shared spaces and our private space. He also shared the fascinating history of his family and the "casa." He is a wonderful baker and prepared beautiful, delicious breakfasts each morning. He answered every question we had about the town, allowing us to explore with confidence. He made excellent recommendations. I would HIGHLY recommend a visit to charming and friendly Monticchiello and to la casa di Adelina. We hope to retun.

    Monticchiello is a lovely small town in the heart of Val...

    Monticchiello is a lovely small town in the heart of Val d'Orcia. We stayed here several days and traveled by car to other places in Toscana. There are a few good restaurants in the town and the most breathtaking view on Toscana hills.

    A beautiful mountain top Tuscan hamlet.

    A beautiful mountain top Tuscan hamlet. We walked around the walls and tiny streets. We ate at Dario’s where we had a delicious lunch of suckling pig. We attended a wedding at the church which was an amazing experience.

    We stayed for one night in this unique B&B in the small hilltop village of Monticchiello. Property is spotlessly clean and beautifully presented with traditional architectural details. Communal areas available to relax in and the breakfast was individually made for us with home made traditional Tuscan rolls. Host was informative and supportive and made a great effort to make us feel at home. Great choice of restaurants for our evening meal considering the size of the village.

    L'Olmo was incredible. The grounds were beautiful, with an immaculate pool, common areas, and views of the surrounding hills. The room was fantastic: large, clean, with lovely finishings. The real standout was the staff - they were unbelievably kind and helpful. They truly went above and beyond to make sure our stay was exceptional. We cannot recommend L'Olmo enough; it is a gem in the Tuscan countryside. We can't wait to go back!
