The old house has been carefully modernized to a very high standard. Part of the furniture is antique, part modern in a matching style. The place feels really well-loved, and is also practical and comfortable. I liked sitting in the shared living room. The area is very much country; I had a nice long walk to the Santa Brigida village - but then taking the hiking trek that begins there was beyond me.

Although we were just two backpackers in the middle of winter, they opened the restaurant for us and we were given a very warm and professional welcome. The natural setting is grandiose, the building is sublime and the rooms magnificent. Our room offered more comfort than we could have wished for, and both supper and breakfast were copious, particularly good and made with produce grown by themselves. The staff are accommodating and quick to share their pride and pleasure in their work. We recommend it!

The breakfast buffet was a delightful start to our day, offering a variety of fresh options to suit all tastes. The location of Hotel Ungherese is unbeatable, with major attractions such as the Duomo and Ponte Vecchio within walking distance. The hotel's proximity to local restaurants, cafes, and shops made it convenient to explore the city and soak in the rich cultural heritage of Firenze. Despite its central location, the hotel was surprisingly quiet and offered a peaceful retreat after a day of sightseeing. An absolutely amazing place, beautiful spot outside Florence, gorgeous interiors, outstanding facilities. The private booking system of the sauna was a nice surprise; you can have the spa area and sauna all for yourself for an hour. The building is stunning, every furniture and decoration; my room was a joy to be in (and the bed is comfortable). The location is in a quiet place, perfect to lie by the pool, listening to the water. Relatively easy to get to town (the bus is 10 mins from the hotel, 30-40 mins to the centre). (The hotel runs shuttle services but I didn't find the times suiting my needs.) It's a great value, a stunning place.

it is nice home-like stay with hotel conveniences. it was great to have some freedom checking in any time that is convenient for us, as we were traveling by car and arrived late in the evening. host just send us instructions how to get in and left key to our room at reception. we stayed only for one night, but it was nice and comfy. we had additional pillows and blanket in our room, and in the morning we had nice breakfast.

This hotel is such a gem! It’s so beautiful inside and out and the staff is so friendly. We even extended our stay because of how relaxed we felt while staying here. The surrounding views are stunning, there are a ton of restaurants all around (including one delicious one owned by the same owner). Would recommend to anyone!

The place is set in the lovely countryside. Rooms and en suite fine. Authentic style furnishings. Enjoyed the meal at the hotel-using home grown produce and all freshly made. We really had not much idea what the food was we'd be getting. Able to try authentic Italian dishes. Florentine cake lovely. Breakfast was good.
