We need a car.
We need a car. The towns, sites and restaurants were excellent. We loved staying at the Tenuta Cusamano. We enjoyed touring the nature/archaelogical site of Tuscolum over the weekend when the ruins are open to the public. we did not see another American in 5 days.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0
Grottaferrata is a very small town.
Grottaferrata is a very small town. I was there for work but I had time to walk around and see a bit. There is the Monastery of Santa Maria that dates back to 1024 with a beautiful church inside that is worth a visit. There is a museum but it was closed when I visited. I thought I would have a harder time finding parking but it wasn't too bad. For a great meal try La Casina del Buon Gusto. The chef's specialty was buonissimo and the prices are excellent. Avoid the Ristorante da Leo. Overpriced and not very good. There is a Fresco Market grocery store within walking distance of the downtown area which has just about everything, including American Hershey's for some reason!Guest review byElizabeth the IntrepidItaly

We arrived late at night and the restaurant still made for us possible to order take away food. Also, Loren was an amazing and adorable host. We didn’t have a car and were highly dependent on taxi. The room was lovely and we were given an upgrade. Breakfast was perfect and the restaurant was beautiful as was the building.
