Perfectly located in the centre of Gioia, set within picturesque narrow streets of this gorgeous town with it’s white-walled buildings and just a short a stone’s throw from the town’s main piazza. The piazza is lively with a typical church, one or two coffee shops and, at weekends, some market stalls selling local farm produce from the region: we bought nuts and sun-dried tomatoes to bring home with us. Our room at the Ciacco annexe was spotlessly clean with crisp white sheets on a large double bed plus a single bed in a separate room which was a perfect arrangements for me and my sister. Bathroom arrangements were also good with a beautiful marble waterfall-style large basin and two giant mirrors separating the main bedroom area from the en suite arrangements. Best of all, the friendliness of the Ciacco’s owner, Isabella made this stay special for us. Isabella and her husband, Pino, came to meet me on arrival at Bari airport. Both were super-friendly and helpful, easy to chat to and a true pleasure to meet. Thank you Isabella for your wonderful hospitality.

Loved the way it has been refurbished. You really have a feel of the history. The property is spotless and very very clean. We had a wide selection of biscuits, yoghurts, teas and even fresh pastries for our breakfast. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming. It was a great stay. Highly recommended

We stayed a week at La Civetta and had the best time! on arrival we felt immediately welcomed by the fabulous Maria Teresa who showed us the rooms and all the facilities. The entire property felt very clean with lots of attention to detail and the pool area is wonderful with beautiful views of the countryside. La Civetta is in a perfect location to visit the entire area around Bari- we filled a full itinerary with trips to Matera, Bari, Alberobello, beachtime in the south and more. The rooms have all the facilities one may need and were cleaned daily to a high standard. One of the best parts was the breakfast- a dream of baked goods made by Maria Teresa in addition to excellent coffee and delicious omelettes. We can only recommend this stay and we will certainly return!

Absolutely gorgeous apartment, spacious and beautifully renovated. Lovely setting in a lush courtyard close to the city square. Deliscious biscuits, fruit and jogurt, and other snacks provided. I wish could stay another night!

Everything. 😍 Ambience, surroundings - olive trees, flower fields and vineyards, backyard and terrace, sweet dog, chickens and cat. Domenico and Laura were so, so, sooooo kind, helpful and friendly. Domenico is full of tips and suggestions how to enjoy the area best and will give you a bunch of advise. Breakfast was delicious - freshly baked pastries 🍰 - yum! And a special touch was serving the breakfast on the terrace. For me that was a perfect way to start the day. With the birds and the sun. 🌞 We had a fantastic time and felt so sad when we had to leave and would love to come again. Grazie! Thank you! Hvala! 😊 *If you come to Puglia and have car - this is a perfect place for you. Location makes day trips to different places very easy. For us was super convenient. 👌

    A charming town that I chose more for its location as a stop...

    A charming town that I chose more for its location as a stop for me along my route, but I was pleased to find myself in a friendly neighbourhood, only a short walk from a stunning little old town. I found a wonderful artisinal meat and cheese shop where I bought some additive-free prosciutto for a great price. Sadly, I didn't get the name of the shop as I'd thought it was on the carrier bag but it wasn't. Lots of beautiful art on doors and walls, and some charming cafes.

    Great place for all those who want to travel this area in Puglia. The historical city centre is charming, the old Svevian Fortress is impressiv. Good locations for lunch and fine dining. Altamura, Gravina, Puttignano, Matera, Martina Franca........everthing closed by

    From the first minute I reached the corner of the two streets and was met by one of the three ladies I felt so welcomed. She explained everything. The room was very cozy. The bed perfect. The bathroom nice with a big shower. And the breakfast was fantastic- actually it was a brunch. Many thanks to you ladies. It was a joy getting to know you. Hope to be back. To whoever is interested in visiting Gioia del Colle this is the place to stay AL Borgo.

    Fantastic apartment in the center of lovely Gioia del Colle. Beautiful decorated and with a nice balcony. Good breakfast with a lot of options. The owner was very helpful, even though i didn't speak Italian, we managed to communicate. I highly recommend Dimora del Castellano.

    The B&B is superb and cannot fault it in anyway. The price for one night is amazing and you might expect the accommodation to be of a high standard BUT this is not true. Excellent check in and superb rooms. There is free parking outside the hotel as well.
