The cottage is an absolute gem nestled in stunning natural surroundings. It's a perfect retreat for those seeking tranquility and solitude. We absolutely loved our stay. The hot tub was a delightful touch, and the cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The farm atmosphere / animals gives you relaxed feeling. The room was ready before check in time, so we could do early check-in without extra cost. We needed to wash a few pieces of clothing upon arrival, and the friendly staff washed them right away.

All was better than what I expected to be fair. Very good breakfast, comfortable bed, rooms decorated with taste. We can feel the hotel is really recent. We also really enjoyed the two hot tubs outside - I do recommand this hotel!

    I have driven through on numerous occasions but never stopped. I was pleasantly surprised by the place. Lovely view of the lake adequate local facilities close by and only a half hour drive to Geyser and Gullfoss.

    Laugarvatn is in an excellent location between the national park to the west, and Geysir and Gulfoss Waterfall to the east. It has a beautiful view of the lake and the surrounding hills, a few restaurants, gas, and plenty of lodging.

    The room was available before check-in, the owner provided information on auto check-in in advance and also some discount options. Place is nice and clean and modern. Alerted us on northern lights and also when electricity went out for a bit for the town. Microwave was available in our room. WiFi and hot water was great. Welcomed with Icelandic chocolate.

    Charming cottage in the middle of the meadows with grazing sheep and singing birds. The cottage looks small from the outside but in fact it's a full-fledged hotel room of a good size with a fully equipped kitchenette and a comfortable bathroom. The cottage is nicely furnished, very clean. Would like to stay again.

    On arrival the host upgraded us. Breakfast provided in the room fridge to have at our leisure. Great view of the mountain behind the hotel and next to a lovely thermal spa open into the evening. Great stay
