The Highland Base is an absolute gem nestled amidst the breathtaking beauty of the Kerlingarfjöll mountains. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning scenery and the serene atmosphere. The hotel itself is a marvel of modern design, seamlessly blending into the natural landscape. Our room was comfortable and stylish, with large windows offering panoramic views of the surrounding wilderness. But what truly elevated our stay from great to exceptional was the incredible service provided by the staff, especially Thomas and Eugenia. Their warm hospitality, genuine helpfulness, and attention to detail made us feel like valued guests throughout our stay. They were always available to answer questions, offer recommendations, and ensure we had everything we needed to enjoy our time at the Highland Base. Whether you're seeking adventure in the highlands or simply a peaceful escape in nature, the Highland Base is an ideal destination. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly unforgettable Icelandic experience.

We spent 3 nights at Kerlingarfjoll and think that this was the perfect amount of time to experience the highlands and also have some retreat time. Could have enjoyed one more day. Yet, 3 days of the best place in Iceland
