The place is nothing compared to Munnar (been there 6 times). The city is too crowded, dirty, and full of disgusting restaurants. There's not much to see outside the city as well as the place is barely 1000m from sea level. Do not go there expecting stunning mountain top views, cloud-covered peaks, or beautiful meadows. Even the tea estates looked dry, uneven, and neglected. The hotels are overpriced! For people who have never been to Ooty, don't be fooled by the "Ooty hype". 10x better and cheaper to visit Munnar.Guest review byVishnuIndia - 10.0

Good place in early summer during April, the weather is just perfect. People are helpful welcoming and food is good. everything what we need for a perfect outing is here, beautiful places for sightseeing, just can be bit over priced, but it's worth and is homely. Doddabetta peak was very interesting.
Doddabetta peak was very interesting. So was the Botanical gardens. Boating in the lake had very few options. Only large motor boat and large canoe. Nothing in between. These boats we very large and expensive for the 3 of us.Guest review byB SIndia - 10.0
The climate of Ooty is amazing.
The climate of Ooty is amazing. Having your own vehicle makes it easy to move around. Not a problem even if you dont- Rickshaws available, walking around the town is fun. Botanical garden, Karnataka garden are the famous gardens to visit. Can spend almost the whole day relaxing there. Tea and Chocolate factory is also a tourist spot. Boating at Ooty lake is expensive and not very exciting. Moddys cafe is chocolate/desert place. Do not miss it. Out of ooty one can visit pykara peaks,boat house and shoot spots. Walking around in Ooty town is also fun. Dodda Betta Peak is also a nice spot to visit.Guest review byMurtazaIndia - 10.0

But when we saw the rooms they were very small, so Manoj the manager on duty happily upgraded us to better rooms with a sit out and a lovely lawn in front, with a view of Ooty. These. rooms were very good and comfortable, The staff were very helpful. The 2 ladies who cleaned the rooms were very good, unfortunately I do not know their names. Shekhar who was on night duty came and gave us hot water bottles which were so welcoming, he was also very helpful. The rooms are not that bad they are good...the view is also not that bad it's good too... Also the best thing to book this hotel would be obviously the rooms, staff, parking etc etc but also the Ooty main sighta like botanical garden and other points are literally in a walking distance...
