Safest place to visit in Tamilnadu. You can get traditional South Indian foods like Idly, Masala Dosai, Filter coffee etc., Thanjavur Big temple built by King Raja Raja Chozhan and near by many temples and sculptures you can visit. If you travel little away from city you can see agricultural land and south indian villages. Best place in Tamilnadu to know about Indian heritage and life style. Our main purpose was to visit Thyaraja Aradhanai at nearby Thiruvaiyaru. This was served. Our local sightseeing was to Brahadeeswarar temple. This is more a public monument than a temple. Frankly, the upkeep and maintenance of the precincts was disappointing! The place is not tourist friendly. The locker room for footwear was too congested and dirty. You have to brave it out barefoot! The tourists lack civic sense. Even inside the sanctum sanctorium of the Shiva temple, we could see huge cobwebs and big spiders!Guest review byVaidyanathanIndia - 10.0

It has so many historical and spiritual places to see and learn about. Sadly those beautiful monuments after the holidays ended up with tons of garbage. Very sad to see. Tamil Nadu is an amazing state in India, so much history, so much culture. Love Thanjavur!Guest review bySonia BocangelPeru

Everything is super-clean in common areas and especially inside my room. Very quiet night and day, with a comfortable bed and a modern bathroom. One suggestion: please provide a plain top sheet. The duvet on the bed is very thick and heavy and only suitable for guest who like to run air-conditioning all night, when just the ceiling is perfectly adequate.
