We've had a really nice long stay here. The owner is very welcoming and provides good care for all the guests. The receptionist is so helpful and friendly. The building is new and modern together with very clean rooms and furniture. Cleaning service, new towels with bedsheets/linens are provided easily. Customer satisfaction is guaranteed and I definitely can recommend it here! The rooms were designed well so that they get ventilated enough. We never had to worry about moisture or mold at all thanks to that. This is very important in the tropics! We've used a powered mosquito repellent at nights and never had issues with mosquitos when sleeping. The hotel location is very safe and quiet. Solo traveling women stay here comfortably. There are rooms available both with single beds or double beds. The beds were comfortable. Hot water gets heated up so fast that it's always available. The wardrobes are big enough for families. There are ceiling fans available also in the balconies.

Exceptionally clean,everything was in working order-lights,air conditioning, locks ,shower and a toilet.The room is spacious,bed is big and comfortable. There is also a fridge and a wardrobe.Balcony is big with table and chairs and there is also a drying rack. Breakfast is basic,included in the price. Everything was really as described. The manager and the staff are friendly and helpful. The property is a short walk from the beach and in the quiet area . I extended my stay as it was so comfortable.

I had a great stay here. The hotel is a short walk from the beach and shopping/restaurant area. All staff took pride in maintaining the outside area including the pool and the room was spacious and clean. The man on reception was friendly and helpful. The wifi worked perfectly. I was so content that I extended my stay.

I absolutely loved staying at this property — it had such a warm and inviting atmosphere. There was something about the space that just felt calm and relaxing the moment I walked in. It was peaceful, private, and had a really positive energy throughout. The location was ideal — quiet and safe, yet still close to everything I needed. I felt genuinely comfortable and at ease the whole time. It was the kind of place you instantly feel at home in. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly pleasant experience.

    There’s crazy traffic on the roads - no rules, no traffic lights (maybe just one!), yet no crashes, no accidents, and no pedestrians getting run over! 🤪 There are lots good fish restaurants, but sanitation is still questionable.

    Compared to Varkala I found it easy.

    Compared to Varkala I found it easy. It’s well geared-up for Europeans and the shopping is great. However, it’s a small place so ten days was far too long for me to be there. On the whole it is cheaper than Varkala and although dangerous for swimming, it is manageable, unlike Varkala where I was unable to actually swim for five days

    2 or 3 days is enough for a short break in the beach area as its quite small.Nice restaurants and shops,beach and sea clear.Sun loungers and parasols cheap for the day .Street sellers can be pushy and too many but they just trying to get business.

    Good place to visit but stay in the hotels on the main road. Enjoy sea food in the restaurants on the beach. The beach needs clean up of rubbish. The best place to eat was Lonely Planet and Jeevan restaurant for beer and food.

    Kovalam is a nice beach.

    Kovalam is a nice beach. I had visited this place almost 40 yrs back as a kid but this time was a difference experience altogether. It is great if you are able to hire a car here and then move around. The experience from lighthouse on the lighthouse beach is something unique. The beach itself is nice and clean and you do get beds at INR 100 where you can rest and put your clothes while you take a small dip in the sea. In case you are looking for vegetarian food, the options are less but not non-existent. Overall a very nice stay.

    The owner Dhanya Nair was very friendly and helpful.We had access to kitchen where induction stove and tea/coffee packages were provided and there was a sea facing balcony in our AC family room.Staff were good and complimentary hot breakfast was provided.The property is situated right next to a private beach area,and a temple,beside KTDC Samudra hotel.It was walkable from Uday Samudra resort where we had a function.Best facility in kovalam at economical price.Thank you for the hospitality!!Will definitely recommend and come back soon😊

    good - breakfast - supposed to be buffet but hotel not busy enough so they cooked as requested - indian and western available- im vegan and they looked after me so well - kadala curry ( to die for!) and appam - missing it already - staff were fantastic and chef even showed me how to make it too ! any queries dealt with quickly nothing was too much trouble location close to beach but not too close only issue was the yappy dogs next door

    I went because I’d been before and there was a day of striking. So home was allowed out. So I quickly booked soma palmshore so I could spend the day in the hotel, in the gardens or by/in the pool. I love just floating in that pool looking up at the circling birds and letting life stop. I also had 2 wonderful Ayurvedic treatments and the restaurant is really accommodating for someone who can’t take too hot.

    I stayed with my wife and granddaughter. The hotel is well maintained and clean, and all the staff were pleasant and helpful. We visited their vegetable garden, which was also very well maintained. The food was of high quality.
