Ajmer is an old city and the area near the railway station/hotel is poor and dilapidated. This will challenge some tourists. Not all local people are friendly but many are very friendly, helpful and curious about where you come from. I am female and was travelling on my own and found Ajmer to be a safe city. The Khwaja Muin-ud-din Chishti dargah and neighbouring bazaar streets are fascinating to see and a highlight of my trip!!!!!!Guest review byDohertyAustralia - 2.0

The stay was excellent as the room size, location , mattress, house keeping room service was very good. I want say about reception boy who works excellent , very gentle and also very helpful for us. The location of hotel is very good as most of the sightseeing are available at walking distance. The amenities provided as per hotel policy. It's very clean, the beds are incredibly comfortable (perhaps the most comfortable I've slept in in India), and the hosts are so friendly and helpful. I didn't try to the shower but everything else worked. The location is a relatively short walk to the bus stand and not far from the train station.
