We felt very comfortable in this hotel from the very first second! The (4-bed-) room was very large and everything was super clean. The breakfast consisted of a good buffet and everything else could be ordered so that it was freshly prepared. It was very tasty! We did a round trip on the Wild Atlantic Way and stayed in 6 different hotels - this one was by far the nicest (and is therefore the only one I rate)! Kenmare is a small, beautiful, typically Irish town. The hotel is located in a street with several restaurants, but it was still quiet.

Very clean, well appointed, comfortable and well maintained room. Great location We considered the hotel 4.5 stars for it’s overall appearance, furnishings and service. Our room was spotless and comfortable. Rookery Lane is just off the main street, so our room was peaceful and quiet. Just a 1-5 minute walk to all surrounding shops, restaurants, and pubs. We loved that there was a kitchenette and dining area. We highly recommend grabbing some snacks from the small grocer across the street. The bathroom was clean and contemporary. We were only here for one night, but we would love to come back and stay here again!

Wonderful location at the cross roads of so many must visit places. The town itself is vibrant and charming and very well serviced with pubs and restaurants. What could be better after a busy day exploring then sitting outside Foleys catching the evening sun and enjoying a pint while deciding what and where to eat.

The town was larger with more facilities than we expected and we would be happy to return. The location gave us easy access to the Ring of Kerry road trip and we saw all the sights worth seeing. The french patisserie in the town was great but has slow service as it is very popular. Watch out for the narrow roads where lots of tourist buses, and locals actually, don't always keep to their side of the road and it can be dangerous.

Town is pedestrian friendly and all restaurants and businesses lie in a small triangle of roads. Free parking was readily available at edge of village. Has its own circle if stones in the heart of town - easy walk. Great pubs like P L McCarthy and Davitts Restaurant - both offered gluten free offerings. Doesn’t have traffic congestion like Killarney. Perfect base for Ring of Kerry.

We loved Kenmare, it was such a cute little town with a lot to offer, fun shopping and good eats. Very walkable. It’s a great place for access to Killarney NP and we wish we could have explored more there. Now that we know of Kenmare we will definitely be spending more time here on our next visit.

The Ford is an idyllic B&B in the Irish countryside. It is the perfect place to stay if you are planning to drive the Ring of Kerry and only a 10min drive to the town of Kenmare. It’s cozy, beautifully decorated and the host, Lisa, is extremely friendly and accommodating without being intrusive. Her full Irish breakfast was the best we had in all of Ireland. You have to try her homemade brown bread. She even shared the recipe with us so we could take a little bit of Ireland home. This place is well worth a stay!

I booked Mary's Ashfield B&B for our Croatian friends for a two night stay after reading all the nice reviews.. They absolutely enjoyed their stay. The area is very peaceful, yet only a few minute pleasant walk to Kenmare town centre. The view around the property is beautiful. They adored the omelette Mary cooked for them, they loved the room they stayed in. They specifically asked me to write this review and say a big thank you to Mary for her kind hospitality.
