Drogheda is much bigger than I expected.
Drogheda is much bigger than I expected. It’s very spread out and was quite congested with traffic when I was there so maybe a little difficult for driving if unfamiliar with the area. It is a very old town with lots of history and old buildings and has short distances to nearby beauty spots. Booking & check in were easy & efficient. The room & breakfast were excellent, Hotel nicely situated & grounds very pleasant. We travel to the area 2-3 times a year to visit family and it is the best place we have stayed in. The interior is very high quality with super comfy beds and the outside area has a wonderful atmosphere. It was lovely to arrive to a few treats and enough to start us off for a few days with milk, juice and plenty of tea and coffee. We even had little bags of toiletries.
