I can not praise the hotel enough. I would particularly recommend rhe West restaurant. It was excellent with a special acknowledgement of our server Oisin. Food, service, ambience , decor, value were perfect. An amazing tasting menu. Just wonderful all round

Perfect location as a base to explore Connemara, Clifden, Galway, Salthill and Aran Islands. Teresa was the perfect host, everything was catered for, really helpful providing that personal touch and a beautiful breakfast that set us up for the day. We will most definitely be returning!

Overall, a dream stay. Beautiful grounds, beautiful building and luxurious decor. Friendly, helpful staff. Lots of lovely little touches like classic movies each evening, gourmet dinner in the Pullman restaurant which is actually two train carriages from the original Orient Express, stylish cocktail bar and relaxing reading room in the Abbey.

A very comfortable stay at The Huntsmann Inn! The location is excellent — only about a 7-minute walk to the city center, which made everything super accessible. We stayed in a two-room suite, which worked perfectly for us: my friend loves warm (she stayed in one room), and I prefer cool air (so I kept the window open in the other). The bathroom was clean and modern, and we appreciated the little touches like tea, coffee, and plenty of storage space. All in all, a great hotel — would definitely recommend!

Our stay here was excellent! The staff is AMAZING and super helpful. The room was large and very clean. The hotel breakfast is a great value for what you pay and the hotel's location couldn't be better. Right around the corner from the Latin Quarter and easy access to the bus station, restaurants, pubs, etc.

Easy to find and plenty of free parking Excellent staff, especially the manager, who went out of his way to ensure we had a really great stay. The room we had was spacious and the beds were comfy. We would definitely stay here again!

    We only had an overnight stay but from the moment we arrived...

    We only had an overnight stay but from the moment we arrived, we found the hospitality was enormous. We had our lunch n Donnelly's just beside the Twelve Hotel where we stayed. We definitely will have to return to sample more of this outside of the hotel itself.

    Barna was a great spot to stay, right amount of restaurants...

    Barna was a great spot to stay, right amount of restaurants close by although we did have a bad experience in the Donnelly’s but O’Grady on the pier seafood restaurant was amazing. The drive to salt hill was 10 minutes away and silverstrand beach was a beautiful.

    It is a fairly small village about 10 km west of Galway.

    It is a fairly small village about 10 km west of Galway. There was no parking problem. It was easy to access Galway city and Salthill. The way to the west, including Connemara and Clifden was very picturesque in places. Following the "Wild West Trail" was very worthwhile. Took about two hours slow travel time from Barna.

    Very pretty small village near Atlantic coast.

    Very pretty small village near Atlantic coast. Most places have seaview or mountains. Donnellys was great with lovely food and live Irish music. A few pubs and other restaurants also nearby. Seafood restaurant near seafront. Supermarket and cafes nearby to b&bs.

    Vey nice staff and exceptional customer service very well presented hotel and staff loved our mini staycation with my family would say it’s my favorite hotel definitely would love to come back loved how my children got the golden tickets for the bakery for sweets and my welcome to the room with a bit of bakery to taste Thank you for making our trip wonderful

    Hotel was very welcoming, with hot punch on arrival. We arrived earlier than expected and we were accommodated very quickly. Bedroom was spacious, bed very comfortable and decor was very ambient, quiet and peaceful. All staff were very friendly and helpful especially Noelle. Food was delicious. Overall a really lovely stay
