The food is the best I had in Raja Ampat. The service is truly one of a kind. The Manager went above and beyond to make sure all my needs were met including taking me into Wasai to pick up medication. The large Jetty out front is perfect for snorkelling and you can even spot stingrays, sharks, cuttlefish, etc from standing above. If and when I return to Raja Ampat, I will absolutely stay here.

I only stayed here one night but it had a good prize considering the beautiful beach front and the AC. Meals are pais apart but it is not expensive. They offer you water and coffee all day. People working there are really nice. They have several cabins but the place has enough space not to feel too close to your neightbors. The deck is also really nice; beach is flat and warm and mostly sand, so it is not a snorkling place.

Exceptionally great staff. Property with great access to good house reef. Spaced out and Nicely set out grounds in peaceful natural surroundings. Standard of accommodation high. Fabulous beautifully cooked lunch and supper. Only open a year and still developing and will only get better I think. Staff will help manage your ferry transit and arrange trips to suit your personal interests.

Fabulous location close to dive sites. Dive masters were professional and friendly. Shout out to Ronaldo and Herman. All staff were very hard working and very caring. Yaasiel took care of our arrangements whilst there. Bella and Jolee were delightful. Arson and his boat crew handled our trip to boarding the ferry. Food was plentiful and DELICIOUS!! Cottage was clean and comfortable. (Apologies if the spelling of names is incorrect)

Comfortable & Eco-Friendly: * Overwater bungalows with private balconies—wake up to breathtaking sunrises. * 24/7 electricity powered by solar panels. * Starlink Wi-Fi for reliable internet, even in this remote paradise. * No mosquitoes during our January visit! Amazing Food: * Delicious meals prepared by a talented Malaysian chef—every dish was superb. Outstanding Hospitality: * Rachid, the host, went above and beyond, even snorkeling with us to show hidden gems. we dived with Corepen Dive and Tarzan Divers. We much MUCH preferred Corepen Dive people that came to pick us up, were friendly and knowledgeable and accommodated our desires. We disliked Tarzan Dive Center which is more like a factory where the owners and her crew were just bored to death on each dive ( with the exception of the charming Merilla). Verdict: Friwen Mangrove Eco Lodge is a perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and eco-conscious comfort. Highly recommend!

Overall, this is the best accommodation we had on our travels and it was difficult for us to say goodbye to the many lovely people. The director and manager were just as attentive as the two women in the kitchen and in service. They constantly but unobtrusively looked after our well-being and supported us wherever they could. The bungalows were very clean and well equipped. There was always hot water and the air conditioning worked well. Our heartfelt thanks go to Nona in the restaurant and Ibu in the kitchen.

The homestay is idyllic and secluded. We were right on the water, the porch is nicely decorated, there's a table and chairs so in the evenings we could easily play cards. In the day, if we weren't diving with Corepen (they come and collect you and drop you off), we would snorkel on the coral reef in front of the homestay which is fantastic! We saw a turtle, ray, squid, clown fish, a shark etc. All three meals are included and Lina's cooking is amazing. We would eat fresh fish everyday. Portion size is very generous so you won't be going hungry. Lina and Arnes are so kind and gentle hosts we couldn't recommend this more. Their English is very limited so just make sure you download a translator app if you don't have data (there's no WiFi). The amenities are basic and you get electricity from around 6:30pm-10:30pm but for us, this only added to its charm. When we passed other homestays, we were always grateful for picking Efenli.
