Bali has changed for the worse since we where there last (before Covid). It is no longer the "awesome value" holiday destination. Most (probably all) the accommodation and eateries are owned by ex-pat Aussies and, as a consequence, the prices you pay for eating out and accommodation are "Melbourne" prices - eg. Spice Mantra entrees are around AU$16 plus about 20% in additional taxes. Maybe the business owners are trying to make up for what they lost during Covid??? I loved the shopping, lots of fun bartering, friendly vibe, great cafe's restaurants and bars. Beautiful beach....day beds and umbrellas to lounge under. Close to other places like Legien and Kuta. Lots of taxies and gojek bikes to take you where ever you wanted to go at a very affordable price. The weather and accommodation is marvellous. Seminyak is a great location for an active relaxing holiday. There is everything you need and more, shopping, dining and "bike bikes" everywhere. The pool looks rather cosy, especially during good weather. I recommend renting the motorbike directly through the front desk of the hotel.
