Excellent value for the money. It's a quaint little boutique hotel in the heart of old town. While the rooms are small the beds are large and comfy. The staff was amazing and the breakfast was rather unique, you order from 6 choices and they also have fruits and cereal as well. Oh, and don't forget to try the soft server icer cream down near the lobby, yummy.

Position of the hotel is good. It is close to the mall, then Toko Oen, then Loenpia Mbak Lien, then also walking distance to Soto Bokoran that is delicious. Room is big enough & clean. I did not try the Breakfast as I went to have breakfast outside.

The accommodation and service provided beyond my expectation. The building was under minor renovation during my stay so its slightly uncomfortable to swim nonetheless their customer service was excellent from front desk to room service to accommodate your request although there was a language barrier. thank you for your warm welcome and helpful assistance in providing universal adapter, suggesting places to go hangout and buying stuff, and booking a grab. will definitely coming here again in the future ;)

    Everything is perfect but only one thing that I have really uncomfortable. That is internet connection !!!!! I can not fully watch YouTube or Netflix bt my laptop. Wifi signal continously has drorpped so it is very difficult to watch any streaming. Even I have to access to my company web for working. Something is happened. I can not work because very low level of internet connection and internet speed. I didn't have any internet issue when I was in Jakarta and Borgor during similar times (I was in jakarta and borgor one week ago) If you have to do something with internet, I can not recommend this hotel. It is very very terribles

    Semarang offers so much more than initially taught, off the touristy itenary, with exquisite architecture, delicious local food and fascinating history. The city is home to an array of cultural festivals, local entertainment, a testament of Javanese theatrical and cultural traditions. The little Netherlands in the old city offers stunning architecture of the 17th century, when Indonesia was a Dutch colony, where most buildings colonial in style, includes medieval, baroque and modern eras styles. Showing flourishing signs of rejuvenation, this city has one of the best preserved and restored historic centres in Indonesia, with charming streets, colourful neighborhoods, secret alleyways, flower markets, lush gardens and parks, perfect climate and gracious people. With its harmonious blend of multi- culturalism, multi- faiths and multi- backgrounds, the melting pot of Semarang is a true microcosm of Indonesia as a whole, from ancient temples, to ancient churches, monumental museums, all the way to modern-day Middle Eastern-Javanese mosques, showing that the assortment of religious places, are as striking as they are different, and the fact that they all exist in the same city is a true testament to the acceptance, harmony and appreciation for diversity of Semarang. Amazing, thank you Up-Peak hotel, and it's welcoming staff.

    My last visit, and stay overnight was about 20 years ago.

    My last visit, and stay overnight was about 20 years ago. When I stayed 1 night on 3rd Sept 2024. I see much development, tidier and cleaner. Thanks to the local people and the government. However there are a lot of home works to get Semarang rated equivalent with Singapore for instance. I am expecting cleaner tidier safer city and prosperous citizen.

    I love the local foods . People are nice and polite Staying at Ibis Style Simpang Lima , is a good decision. Close to every where, the front desk her name is Noni she is not just friendly but she a big help . She recommends us where to go to get good tasty local foods.

    Location is good, it's at the center of kota lama Semarang, next to gereja blenduk and Spiegel, 8 mins walk to stasiun Tawang. Room is clean, got hair dryer, nice shampoo and body shower gel. They also provide water dispenser in each floor. Breakfast is nice, got egg counter too. WiFi provided. Bed is comfy.
