Good selection of breakfast buffet with a change in the type of rice and noodles for every day that we stayed there. The facilities were of good condition and sufficient for our use during the stay at Bromo. Location was superb and the view of Mount Bromo from the hotel was awesome! 10/10 would stay at Bromo Permai 1 again!

Perfect location, with an amazing view of the mountains. I loved the roof top restaurant with lights set up, enjoyed my evening at Istana Bromo Resort. The front office staff Rosie was friendly and helped me with a room with a beautiful view.

Great place to start your journey to Bromo. I walked from here at 3 a.m. and got to the crater at 5 a.m. Mind the vehicles driving up there though! Welcoming staff, calm and quiet location.

The host family was very friendly and helpful. They organized the Bromo Tour for me and everything was perfect. Furthermore the meals in the restaurant of their Homestay are very delicious. I would definitely would come back.

The young couple did well, saw the volcano and had a nice breakfast. And pick us up at Surabaya airport and arrange a volcano tour at a reasonable price. Be careful because on the roadside, it is best to sleep with earplugs.

    Location was good, literally 200m from the restaurant we ate lunch, dinner and breakfast at. Short walk to the "secret" park entrance. Zero hot water, even after switching rooms to shower after our hike up Batok.

    Mother Earth is full of wonders and this is one of these. Never thought thsat I would be seeing a live volcano. The place is just right for one night nd one day if you are tight on time schedule, although a longer trip would be worthwhile.

    The whole Bromo trip was perfect and the hotel owners helped...

    The whole Bromo trip was perfect and the hotel owners helped us so much. He can pick up guests from the airport to the hotel. Just tell him we need a jeep, and he'll arrange it for us. As tourists, all we had to do was walk out the door at the appointed time and see the jeep driver pick us up at the hotel gate and help us into the car. The Jeep driver will arrange all the trips, including sunrise watching, jeep photo taking and horse riding. It was an amazing ride, we rode up to the volcano and only had to walk a few steps to see the crater.

    There are wonderful volcano and beautiful sunrise in Bromo. The journey of hiking under the mountain through the volcanic ash is amazing. The fly in the ointment is that the riding service provided by the locals always raises huge dust, and there are some very dangerous places such as the ridge without any signs.

    Nothing compares in the whole world to the Bromo area.

    Nothing compares in the whole world to the Bromo area. It is worth coming for a few days. If you love amazing views, out of this world views, that is what you will find. If you only stay for one night to see a sunrise, you will miss much that vis special about this area. The road up to Bromo has been upgraded and not nearly as scary as it used to be and is a pleasant drive. A new walk opened up that will take you through exquisite farming land right up to the outer rim of the Caldera. Bukit Pusung Agung Track.
