It's a waste of time to describe how fantastic this place is because you can see it on the website. I liked the service the most. The concierge organized a tasting of local wines in a nearby vineyard in 3 minutes. The tasting was conducted by the owner of the vineyard. I recommend Hungarian wines. Tarcal is one stop up the line from Tokay and is a bit of a one-horse town. The hotel has a nice pool and some water features, plus a sun trap terrace that was quite hot in May so I imagine might become a tandoori oven in high summer. The wine list is an homage to the local furmint grape variety but struck me as expensive. We really enjoyed the pool and the scenery around it. Also a place great if you want to have a tasting session from the local sweet and dry white wines. You can serve quite a delicious dinner, probably the best dinner around Tokaj. Really like that you can serve breakfast outside on the terrace in the morning and enjoy a bottle of wine in the evening.
