Welcoming, very friendly and highly professional, good English speaking staff and very fast response to my queries and call for assistance before our arrival. Amazing breakfast in the near hotel RUM 2 mins walk from GIN in the top roof restaurant with a Michelin star and beautiful view. Not usual but really delicious breakfast, an extraordinary experience! We would come back again for sure!

One of the best city hotels I've stayed in. Very central location, spacious and fully equipped rooms, very decent breakfast. The staff were very friendly and super efficient. Had my flight to Budapest delayed for 15 hours due to adverse weather conditions. Despite a very short notice the hotel agreed to change the check in date (the rate I chose didn't allow the changes though). Highly recommended!

This was a brilliant, flawless stay for us at Verno. The rooms are generous, the bed is very comfortable, the staff are very accommodating and helpful. Plus location is absolutely perfect, close to tourist sites without being stuck in them.

A City of Two Halves

With a dome reminiscent of Brunelleschi’s "The Duomo" in Florence, the Hungarian parliament building is undoubtedly the icon of Budapest. It sits majestically by the Danube, the river that both divides and unifies the 2 parts of this capital city: Buda and Pest.

To really feel like a local, make a trip to the thermal baths. The relaxed Gellért Baths are a triumph of Art Nouveau grandeur, while based on their sheer size, you can't miss the outdoor Széchenyi Baths. If unusual nightlife is your thing, the club nights at these baths are great fun.

    We stayed for 4 days and it was my fifth visit and I still haven’t seen all the sights. I found it very expensive to eat out and buy souvenirs this time. Not sure how the locals survive. Budapest is a beautiful city although is looking a little rundown compared to its close neighbour Vienna. Many buildings are dirty and need restoration and cleaning to highlight how wonderful they truly are. We had a walking tour and walked around ourselves. The trams are cheap and easy to navigate.

    An outstanding city with much to see and do, so many places to visit and enjoy, most if not all can be access vis local transport such as metro at time of writing 01/09/25 a single metro was 500 HF about £2.19. Bus from airport to city was quick 10E and cost 2.400 HF about £5 a person . Things to be aware of some locations have a service charge included in the bill. Some may ask if you wish to give X precent. One major change for me was the amount of places including metro and Bus requirements to buy tickets using debit cards, it appears a lot of place will take card or cash but you will be asked card or cash Be aware of this on Banking fees Ive seen ppl use Wise cards oe Post office Travel card to save on fees.

    There is so much to do in Budapest.

    There is so much to do in Budapest. From relaxing in the thermal baths to cruising along the Danube or climbing the 197 steps of St Mathias tower. Foodies will not be disappointed either. Getting around is easy using a range of public transport. Do your research before you come and make sure you visit your faves. Try Freya the croissant story near the hotel. Also visit the market hall.

    Budapest is a beautiful city and we loved the great mixture of culture and entertainment. Seeing all the different buildings and memorials was so interesting. Fortunately our apartment was perfectly located to be able to walk and explore but when needed we found the trams very easy to navigate. The evening cruise was certainly a hightlight and we also enjoyed a great evening in the Ruin Bars

    Very relaxed culture, very nice people and with a fascinating history.. recommend cake, coffee and goulash! vintage shopping was a treat. Metro train system very sophisticated, making it easy to get around. Eye of Budapest and authentic ruins bar!

    What a positively beautiful city.

    What a positively beautiful city. The buildings and architecture depicted the culture of this place. It was so clean and I love seeing the old buildings being restored to their original beauty. I definitely recommend it to anyone who wishes to immerse themselves into this treasure.

    I’ve visited Budapest many times and stayed at different hotels and hostels, but Hillside apartments has been the best accommodation I stayed in Budapest so far. Everything is super clean (the bathroom, the bed linen, towels etc.), the neighbourhood is really quiet, and we also had a balcony to enjoy our morning coffee. Bus stop is nearby, you can reach the city centre in 30 min. I totally recommend this peace for the excellent quality-price ratio! The host is also very kind and considerate (thank you Balazs!)

    Easy to find, just a minute away from the tram that takes you to the city centre for 25 min. There is a shopping centre within 5 min drive with a car. Next to the hotel there is a winery where you can buy Hungarian sparkling wine. The rooms are good enough with spacious bathrooms and plenty of towels. The rooms have a balcony with private jacuzzi that you can use. The water temperature is 40 degrees celsius. The parking is big and free (a rare finding in Budapest).

Very helpful host, professional, maculate clean and felt like I was staying in a 5 star hotel. 10/10, can only recommend it. From now on I’ll only stay here when I’m visiting Budapest
