Beautiful city with good commercial center and places to visit, including short excursions to Meteroa and Plastira lake. The actual Christmas Park however (The Mill of the Elves) was phenomenal. With the river in the middle of the city and all the bicycles on the streets it feels like you are in a big European capital. The locals take very good care of their city and it shows. A vibrant town that was great for wandering around. Not many concessions to tourists and all the better for that - you really felt you had the authentic Greek experience. In addition a number of good restaurants and excellent coffee shops. No real stand-out sights, though the old town, the castle and the mill were all worth a visit. It is very comfortable for 2 persons or a family. It comes with pretty much everything (fully equipped kitchen for example) so you won't mind that it is a bit dated or old fashioned.
