Tasty and fresh breakfast, with local products. The place is all designed with good taste. It is a privilege to see how David and Marieke actually care about this place. You can see that there is not only a guesthouse there, but a way of life and a continuous project of rehabilitation of this old beautiful village, which you can actually live in during your stay. Really inspiring.

It’s a beautiful resort and the staff are really very nice. The food in the all inclusive deal was varied and tasty each meal. It’s a wonderful family oriented hotel. I would stay here again.

Hotel staff are amazing, each of them so helpful. All questions were resolved with a smile. This hotel breakfast is so good, prepared very well and so colourful and is better than in restaurants. Parking on the street, not far from hotel, hotel staff drove our car and parked by them self, we didn't ask but it were suggested by a guy who take our luggage. Room clean, the biggest part of rooms in the hotel are with a view to the sea. From the hot you see amazing see view and town street, also coast of Albania. The hotel in the middle of all the attractions, you can reach everything in 5 minutes. When you are in the room, you dont hear neighbours and city noise.

The location is perfect! Near the beach and near the village. The atmosphere inside is beautiful and “warm”, I will really miss those morning coffees and snacks on the bar while watching the pool, or those late evening drinks, peace! You will find there Kyana (she runs the place). You will find out why Greeks are famous for their hospitality! She will make your stay on the island unforgettable, we lookin’ forward for some more!!

    A wonderful village high in the mountains of Corfu,...

    A wonderful village high in the mountains of Corfu, abandoned in the 1950s, but now undergoing sensitive restoration. Excellent traditional tavernas and a shop selling local pottery, olive wood items and honey. Well worth the 20 minute drive from the coast. Take the turning opposite Ice Dream, a brilliant ice cream parlour with home made ice cream, frozen yoghurt and waffles.

    Presently, slightly surreal, with so many dead and decaying, Venetian styled stone-houses. But I guess this will change as the 'ghost-village' rebuilds itself. It may then lose a part of the character that is currently attracting visitors. But it will still be high in the mountains, still in the shadow of Pantokrator and its blasphemy of a telecommunications carbuncle, and still with all the peace and the space that goes with it, along with tavernas still serving rabbit stew; so leave your sun-beds and snorkels in Kassiopi, and take the long and winding road up to Perítheia. Or not. You could just stay on your sun-bed, finish that John Grisham and consider giving Hilary Mantel a go....

    The small village of Old Peritheia has it's own magic and...

    The small village of Old Peritheia has it's own magic and along with it a history, more recently the addition of the Merchants House is a perfect accompaniment to the already popular Tavernas. Very popular with tours during the day and in the evening a lively place to eat with it's own intimate atmosphere.
