Beautiful old stone house in a peaceful green location. Rich and tasteful breakfast is served at a terrace in the garden. You can enjoy home-made butter, cheese, eggs and variety of marmalades while listening to the birds' songs. The host is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the region. Gave us lots of helpful and valuable insights about the area's wildlife, trails and activities. We had only one night's sleep over on our way to the seaside, wish it was more... at least we made it to a panoramic viewpoint over the magnificent meanders of river Nestos and spotted some wild horses on our way :) Thank you! Location was wonderful, quiet and peaceful little village in the mountains, nice clean rooms, hosts were really friendly and helpful. We arrived pretty late at night but the host was there waiting, check in was really smooth. Super Air conditioning. I really rest good after the long day drive.

We had a wonderful tranquil stay at Petrini Gonia. Everything was perfect. Our hosts were so kind and generous, offering to cook simple but delicious dinners for us as the village café/restaurant had closed for the season and the nearest taverna was some distance away. The location is beautiful with the forest at this time of year a glorious golden vista.
