We liked everything about Hotel Elafos. We couldn't have asked for a better place to round off our week long stay on the island. Felicia is the most warm, welcoming and kind host; the breakfasts are superb with a selection of toast and jams, pastries, ham and cheese and bread rolls, yogurt and fruit, fruit juice and a choice of either coffee or English breakfast tea! The room and whole building is a gem. We were so pleased that the period character and charm of the building has been retained throughout. There are lovely walks from the hotel - we hiked to Salakos and back which is really not that arduous and Salakos is a nice village with several pleasant tavernas. We didn't have any private transport and so it was important to find places to eat although Hotel Elafos has a good selection of lunch items and we were able to order a pizza for one of our evening meals.

Apartment wonderful, full of books, pity there was not one in English only, as I cannot read Greek ;) Maria is super kind, provided me all info needed for travelling around, even not accommodation related. First of all, the house was spotlessly clean upon arrival, and our whole family loved the beautiful design. There were three air conditioners, and the place was already perfectly cooled down when we walked in. Many thanks to the owner for the fresh fruit and wine. The house had everything you could possibly need. The kitchen was fully equipped, the bathroom had reliable hot water and was very comfortable, and we even managed to do our laundry and dry it in the courtyard. Archangelos is a charming local area where you can enjoy delicious food at much better prices compared to Lindos or the Old Town. We found Stegna to be the best beach for kids. There, you can rent an umbrella and two sunbeds for just €15. We would definitely recommend this place!
