I arrived late but the staff went out of their way to accommodate me. Room was extremely comfortable, with a sea view over the Bay. Pre-arranged car parking was available. They have a nice breakfast included, and a pub atmosphere bar, Everything in one package, in a beautifully refurbished old building. True Yorkshire hospitality.

There is just something about Whitby that keeps pulling us back. Fabulous place although the hills are a bit much for me now. Amazing little backstreets always something new to do. Great walks for those who have dogs. Such a dog friendly place. We just love Whitby, go at least 2 times a year. Abbey Wharf a great place to eat.

Whitby is a lovely place to visit, plenty to do if you want to. Roads into the town are very steep,it's ok going down into town but going back up Could cause an issue for anyone with mobility issues. Recomend using one of the many local taxis to get you back to your hotel, they are very reasonably priced.

Lots to do and see or just sit and people watch.

Lots to do and see or just sit and people watch. Lots of individual shops. Very atmospheric at night with sunset behind the Abbey ruins. Pre book restaurants and attractions if you can at least 14 days in advance as there are some very good discounts to be had especially for something like The North York Railway. The Pot & Pineapple and Holmans Bookshop in Skinner Street had a lovely selection of gifts. Mrs Bothams Bakery had a great selection of cakes and local goodies. Lots of places to eat and drink. We stayed in The Resolution Hotel, lovely room, clean, friendly staff and lovely freshly cooked food. We visited Whitby because we were at a Wedding which was held at Danby Castle Farm, a beautiful venue high up in the moors with all the lovely scenery. A great place will hopefully go back soon and spend longer.

We have stayed in Whitby before but parking is always an issue so we were thrilled to find this hotel with parking situated just outside the town and right opposite the Park and Ride service. We were able to travel to Whitby and then catch buses to Robin Hood's bay and Scarborough. The Stables is comfortable with beautiful accommodation and lovely grounds. The staff are helpful and friendly and we had some excellent meals.

Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Room was spacious and the location was fantastic - around a 10 minute walk into town, minutes from the beach, public parking opposite the hotel at £9 for 24 hours. Whitby open air tour bus stopped outside (hop on/off service with history talks). Restaurant/cafe easily accessible. Rooms had gorgeous views. Fan & hairdryer provided in room.

Right in the heart of Whitby, this was the first time we have stopped at the Angel Hotel. To be honest, the photo's we saw online didn't quite do it justice. The room had a modern feel, was clean and comfortable and we will definitely book again when we next return. We were on the 2nd floor and heard no noise from the bar below. It was nice to have a view of the harbour too.

The breakfast was excellent, especially the wonderful black pudding. The hotel was situated in a quiet area with parking, a must for Whitby. It was an easy short walk into the centre. Paula was so welcoming with tea and delicious home made fruit cake on our arrival. As dog lovers, we loved Denzil, the very well behaved Labradoodle.
